fernley food - for next year

Post by cordless » Wed Sep 15, 2004 5:26 pm

monday after the burn we went to a great little hamburger stand in fernley and i wanted to pass it on to others for next year:

bnb american burgers
135 w main
fernley

enjoy!

ps the fernley dump was also a friendly and efficient place - but i've never been to the one in reno so i can't compare it.

DAMN! Now you've gone and blown the best kept secret within 90 miles of the event.

The dump IS pretty cool and QUICK. $5 for a station wagon full. Unload all of your trash in less than 3 minutes and off you go. Wish more people would take the extra 10 minutes out of their schedule to stop by there to unload.

Whatever you do DON'T tell them about where you can get the ultra hot showers.

If someone could post the HOURS for the Fernley dump on the website (preferably where the directions are to it) that would have helped immensely. Since we weren't sure when they would be open, we decided not to risk it this year.

You can keep your burgers. After a week on the playa, I want a chocolate Frosty from Wendy's!

Please tell me, what are those Indian tacos anyways? At first I thought salmon, but that's my region showing, since there's probably not much fish in the middle of a dried up lake bed.

Hmm, okay. For some reason I thought maybe curry was involved.

Dang--don't you see the "native american" clarifications on those sighs?

Oh well. "Tribal Tacos" "Indigioness Tacos" "Paiute Tacos" They're all problematic.

btw It never really occured to me that tacos were real, honest to goodness "Indian" food until I went to the taqueria in Chico called "El Indio." Funny how that is.

The Indian Tacos are made in big, fried flat bread things. That's where they become Indian Tacos instead of regular.
