Playa Dust - The Ultimate Seasoning

We were standing around the Dread Pirate Barbie camp getting ready to do some line sweeps on Monday when a neighbor walked in with a plate of bacon saying "who wants bacon we have plenty".

About half the plate was gone when he accidentally dumped most of the remainder in the dust. As he bent to pick up the spilled bacon he was saying something like "oh well there was plenty before that".

My son (Watah) said "are you joking" as he bent and snatched that bacon out of the dust and proceeded to eat it.

I don't think I have ever been more proud of my boy.

I have eaten many things that hit the playa. It mostly depends on where I am. (Ie: If near portos, its considered moop and treated appropriately.) Most of the time, I just eat it...

Sometimes I have a playa G&T -- Gin & Tonic with a sprinkle of playa dust for flavour.
