Re: Rest In Peace
Goodbye, Sensei. My friend, I miss you and will miss you more now that I know we'll never meet again in the dust. At least not the dust of this world.
May you travel in peace.
May you travel in peace.

Went out like a champ. Grace isn't something that drops from above, it comes from people like him.

One of my favorite phrases is "Never wisen a chump, or give a sucker an even break."
This cat saw me coming, and managed to get me to support him through 6 years of diabetes, and a year and a half of chemotherapy. Yesterday was a long day filled with horrible decisions and agonizing moments. After watching this cat fight for years, the needle finally dipped into "Not worth it".
Thanks, Knabo. Thknabo.

Re: Rest In Peace
What a good looking fellow. You gave more life that he (I assume "he") would have had otherwise and I'm sure it was returned to you in what ever way he could muster. It's hard to loose a buddy. We've said goodbye to four feline friends this year, one of which was our super special shop cat, KC. *sigh*. Tough year for the kitties.

He might be ignoring me, someone else should try.

I dunno. I am reluctant to push it. His relationship with the board always seems a little touchy. I may be reading into it.wh..sh wrote:I PM'ed and inquired about his furry friend but no reply...theCryptofishist wrote:Maybe I should have scanned back, but do we know how lemur is doing?

Very sad to relay the news of the passing of Mark Bava, he was killed in a car accident with his brother Chris and another passenger (news story here). A truly amazing and wonderful guy, Mark's encouragement and support helped me make it to my first burn.

Just posting to pay my respects to Sensei...saying he was inspirational would be a true understatement.

An elderly woman got killed by a car here in Japantown. She was probably J-walking from the retirement home to the Japanese market across the street. Probably a dear, sweet old Japanese grandmother, just looking for a sweet snack.
Had a flashback to losing Toshi. It was a little rough.

I was having a rough time in the spring. I think it was coming up on Scott's 50th birthday. He always said he'd be dead by then...
Fuck you, Scott, why didn't you want to live?
(Don't answer, no point going there.)
