Re: Time for a Happy Thread
Well poop! I can't move in this weekend but HEY! I'm still moving! Mid month. Yay!
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Re: Time for a Happy Thread
Well, I got the results back. Just a small few of you knew that I had a biopsy done recently. They found a nodule on my thyroid and with the calcification of said nodule, they were afraid it was very serious, as in cancerous. Turns out the results came back and it's benign! So I can quit being Mr. Nice Guy and go back to being the insufferable jackass you all have come to know and loathe, uh, I mean love.

And you, thus, restored my faith in humanity!!!

Aw.
(How long do you have to wait?)
For me, babies aren't even fun to hold until they're a month old anyway . . . 'cause then you're like: Oh, my god, this baby is literally the size of a 10-lb bag of sugar.

Like atleast 3 months
I don't have enough vacation to go home right away.
yeah... usually babies that young are sleeping all the time anyways... but I just miss sharing that moment with my family more than anything else.

The coach may not be gold but it does have a back door.

"The little Morning Glory who could"
Late last May, well after the first frost, as instructed (i ALWAYS do as i'm told) i planted a whole bunch of morning glory seeds. They sprouted quickly, and started to grow happily, but ...... i had a terrible time getting them to grow on the supports i had provided, and i was too lazy to tie 'em up. because they stayed low to the ground, they didn't get sufficient sun. Also, the sprinklers weren't working. And speaking encouraging words didn't seem to help much, for some odd reason. But finally, in late August or so, i DID manage to tie them up and get those sprinklers working, and guess what ,,,,, they started growing like mad!!!!! so i got all excited, as they grew and grew, and started making flower buds, and everything .... and then that accursed weather report predicting frost appeared. it became a race ...... and this morning, after looking at my dahlias and tomatoes drooping from the partial freeze last night, i went over to the morning glories, and this is what i found:

Re: Time for a Happy Thread

Got transferred/promoted to the Events department as the Events Captain.
From there, I will be training to become the new Maitre D' of Events to take over for my best friend and roommate who was just promoted to GM of the steakhouse on property. 3 months from now I'll get one pay increase and then in 3 more I'll get another.
First "real" job for me and I am very excited to gain some more knowledge in the industry. I've already held so many different positions, worn so many different hats that I already feel as if I could jump right into the GM spot of the entire resort!
But that will come in time, for now I will continue to polish my hospitality skills and start looking at suits!
Time to get classy, y'all.
Cheers.

Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
