Yes everyong should come to Burn the River 2.0 in beautiful Sacramento Valley. Last year was great even though it poured rain. The Sacramento Valley Decom is being held at Rio Ramaza Marina and Event Park resort along the Sacramento River. Its a beautiful spot with grass and tree shaded areas for the event and the camping/RV. http://rioramazamarina.com/index.htm
There are only a few camping spots left that have to be reserved in advance. We will be adding near by lodging information to the event web page at http://sacvalleyspark.org/?ai1ec_event= ... ance_id=96

So who's going? In addition to helping with the event, I am working with Barbies Death Camp
and Kindergarten Kamp to create a blended mini theme camp. We will have fire......

It looks like JR and I will be attending (weather permitting). But there's no place to camp and neither of us want to drink and drive. Decisions decisions...

This has been a very productive weekend on the effigy build front!
Re: Sacramento Valley Decompression 2012- Burn the River 10/
Sacramento burners are proud of how literally this decompression will follow each and every of the 10 principles of Burning Man. Thankfully, the venue will allow gifting and will not require us to spend $$$ in the vending of booze, etc. Also, they considered using a version of the man for the effigy burn but elected to put something different on the pyramid base. I'm curious what it is.

Wow. The best decompression of 2012 that I've been to, hands down. A full gift economy, very relaxed atmosphere, naked running around the fire, and a wonderful setting. A perfect slice of playa to close up decompression season for myself.

Not an urban myth, the Cuyahoga river in Cleveland really caught on fire
in 60's (oil slick) while I was in college there.

The Burn The River Sacramento Region Decompression event was epic!
(If you were there, you knew you were in the right place Saturday evening.)
We had perfect weather in a beautiful, pastoral site near the Sacramento River.

It was indeed a lot of fun. Even Zeke Chaparral, who politically and economically he and I have almost nothing in common, kissed and made nice. Yes, perhaps the lion does lie with the lamb.
