It sure is quite out there.
What's with the mirrors I never would have found the place without the smell of coffee showing me the way?

Oh, the mirrors on the outside keep the DPW from noticing us. If they see us, they will think we are a big pile of Lush MOOP and scoop us away.

I can see how it would be a tuff call between a pile of Lush moop and a pile of moopy lushes.

The mirrors should work to keep them fooled.

Yeah, those DPW guys are good at what they do. If they knew we had booze in here ... well, you know. Kinda keep that hush-hush, okay?

Okay, someone dropped off this bottle of Crown Royal ... it was too small for when the place was crowded but I think we got just the right size group here ... anyone want to join me?

Oh it's just Lydia outside.
My first reaction was "jesus fuck, how did you know?"

*Smacks self in the forehead*

Yes please a shot would be lovely. I will then commence to drinking rather largish quantities of cheap whiskey in order to try and burn out this cold...

wish Spinner would put some tunes on. For the first time since the event I had to work my ass off. The past couple of days have finally got me adjusted to post-event life.

I was laid off a week ago, and it still doesn't seem real, course I went in almost every day to copy slides from the archives so it's bound not to seem real yet.

Wow, Lydia. That sounds like a lot of work, for sure. Bit I will bet it is pretty rewarding when it all comes together. Wish I had some artistic talent.

The soundtrack came out when I was in Junior high and some friends and I memorized the who thing and ended up singing it from beginning to end on a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Gosh, Z, sorry to hear about the layoff. There was a lot of that going around here for a while but things have started picking up finally out here in Silly Valley. I was in that boat for a while a couple of years ago, it wasn't fun.

Mine was State funding cutbacks, I'm hoping to turn it into a positive and see what else in the world I can do, I've been making Exhibits for 10 years and it is time to do something else.

Yeah, I am going to blow outta here too. Let me clean this coffee pot up and get it all charged for the morning crew, all they will have to do is flip it on ...

Guess I will leave them this Crown too. A little slow tonite. Been thinking about stuff to get for the virgin art project for next year.

Ok, I'm callin' bullshit on this. But first I'll have a nip off that C.R.

* Sensei reaches over bar and grabs bottle of Crown Royal *

See, Sensei brought his infamous purple flute down to the LL last Monday. I played a jazzy little blues tune I've been working on (out in the alley) and 'cause I begged her to, Lydia began to sing along. She's got some serious talent, I'm tellin' ya. Rian is amazing, too. And when those two got together for some old standards (Summertime, All of Me, etc.) it was stunning. They can harmonize like they've been singing together all their lives. I know enough about music to recognize talent when I see it, and both these women have a truckload. And that's the truth.

Just leave me the keys. I'll see Joel gets 'em.
