B&W photographer near Center Camp
(Hey, sorry for the cross-post, but I'm desperate:)
I'm trying to locate the name and/or website of the photographer that was taking pictures near centercamp... He had a tent set up, and was taking black and whites of anyone who wanted to wait in line for them. He also had a bunch up on display, outside the tent. Some were erotic in nature, others were not.
If anyone knows who he is or how I can find him, I'd greatly appreciate the help...
thanks so much,
Guinivere

Have you tried looking at the map of center camp and figuring out which camp it is, then looking it up on the themecamp webpage?
If I recall correctly he was at about 10:00 center camp. And the theme camp webpage generally lists either an email, a webpage or both for contact info of any registered theme camp, and clearly you'd have to be registered to be in Center camp.

Were the images he was shooting like this one below? If so and if you find out who he is please post his name or contact details. We had this great portrait taken of us in 2000, i'd love to get a print made. I had his name scrawled on napkin when handed us the polaroids, but that's long gone now... we never found it once we returned home.
BTW, did you ever work for a girl game company in the SF area? The image in your avatar (assuming that's you) looks really familiar.

O. Now I can see it. Yes, those types of photos. Great stuff, eh?
And no, I've never actually been to CA, save the little corner we drove through to get to the Burn. So, it must not have been me. (But my avatar is!)
Good luck. I read in an article that, because John does all of his own developing, he's something like a year behind in the printing. I'd love to see it, if you're down for showing me...

I think that's the same photographer. I'll shoot him an email with that image above. Not sure why you can't see it, but if it's a red x you can right click on it to get the properties for the image, then copy and past the url into a browser.
Thanks for the link and out of curiosity, did you work for a bay area game company in the late 90's?
