Thanks Wh..sh, Would never have guessed you know Maiden. Fuck yeah!
When I was in the Navy...
All of my classmates who played D&D lived in a Big house in Mystic Conn. We called ourselves Damage Inc. and took names from Iron Maiden Songs*; Trooper, Battery, Nomad (didn't exist then) at that time I was 6'r from 666, Aces, Icarus and The Beast. Our sessions always started with Run To the Hills.
We are still in contact and are planning a 25 yr reunion in 2015.
*soundtrack in that order*

Don't know if this will work for mice...ygmir wrote:yeah it's a tough call.........I made one experimental trap, a bucket with water and a stick, that it seems they crawl up, and fall in the bucket, but the water keeps them from jumping out. Thing is, you gotta wonder how long that'd work for.
I'm thinking of dousing with bleach under all cabinets and such, hoping the smell will last a long time, and maybe scare them away?
I once had an infestation of flying ants. At night they would come out and swarm around my monitor because it was the only light on. Took a long time to figure out where they were coming from. When I found the hole in the basement wall they were coming in through I put a few mothballs inside of it because I did not feel like ripping open the wall to investigate further. It worked, and the mothballs lasted a long time. I am guessing that mice won't like the smell of the mothballs either.

Mothballs are serious poison. Really serious poisen. So serious that htey wouldn't be approved for usage in the United States if they hadn't existed as a product for so many years.
I'd advice against using it at all. But I don't think cedar is going to be good against mice.

I was like any other poor, regular Indian kid watching Jungle Book (Indian version) and various Hindu mythology shows on TV... until MTV invasion happened in India when I was in 6th grade or so.
It changed my life! Suddenly, I was like this kid, listening to "Here Comes The Hotstepper" and "Black Hole Sun"
In urban India, we do have soft spot for older rock bands like Iron Maiden, Guns n roses, and so on. Invariably, we all worship Pink Floyd. In all, more European bands than American.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Good afternoon, Bar, long time no see! It's been a busy couple weeks, with a few projects bouncing around, LA decom, and working on things here (as well as back-end maintenance, etc). LA was a lot of fun though felt kind of rushed - plus decom's a busy weekend so it was impossible to connect with everyone we had wanted to. Hats off to the LA region, it was a great event (and much better than SF's decompression in a lot of respects). I wish we'd had more time and could have stayed out all night on Saturday, but as it was we had to head back early on Sunday - we'll need to take another trip down south in the near future.
It's already been a pretty busy day, and feels a lot like happy hour. But I've still got a bunch to do, including running some errands and stocking up the bar. Have fun at the ARTery debrief, Marty, hopefully everything went pretty smoothly out there. Are you planning on going to the ARTumnal gathering next month?

Fishy's spelling may reflect relaxation and trust around her compatriots, in the same way that I take the stick out of my ass one week a year, and go a whole day without a shower. Maybe you should cut her some slack! (Note also: don't sniff me on the playa).5280MeV wrote:My god... what the hell happened to your spelling and grammar? How many have you had to drink? Good morning, bar! Landlord is checking smoke alarms today so I felt the need to eliminate some dusty stuff. Thank dog I had lots of batteries to spare from ttitd. He charges a lot to suply a 9V. Thursday, and I'm curious what fresh hell awaits at work. Everybody enjoy this day as best you can. Oops, almost forgot to turn on the ECM... Extra liveliness extract today. *humming*

Stupid laptop won't power up. My netbook is fine, but a tick slower and a smaller screen. My phone is blazing fast, but I can't see a thing because it is so tiny. Sigh. First world problems.

when i was 6 or seven, i visited some of my second cousins from cuba while in florida.
none of them spoke english.
one of them, and older boy, and obviously a joker, decided he would give me a moth ball along with some hard candy....they looked amazingly similar.
i dont remember much except eating it, and then being rushed to the hospital...and a lot of frantic spanish going on in the background, like a bad dream while UniVision is On Tv.
this is when i learned to never trust your relatives...

They actually make (or made them in the recent past) mothballs with some sort of coloring in them that made them look like pastel candy delights. There is (was) much running around trying to educate people, so they don't end up in the hands and mouths of children.
