Flaming bag pipes

One of the projects I want to work on this year is rigging my bag pipes to shoot fire (3 mini fire cannons 1 fuel supply). The design is simple but I'm just not that familiar with solenoids and stuff and don't want to screw it up. Can anyone direct me to a good resource or even better is if I could meet someone to go over my plans. I'm in the LA area, and any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

Two guys on this board that come to my mind first are, Foxfur and OneEyed Dick. They may be able to help you or point you the right direction.

P.S. if you know any bagpipers that plan on being at burning man in 2013 and want to participate in a small performance please have them contact me. I started it this year near the temple and it was one of my best memories of BM.

Exactly! I've also see some girl piper from Seattle do it. The good news is I know it's possible, just need help with the design.

One of my favorite things of 2012.
I was in my trailer and heard BAGPIPES. Bagpipes being played very well. I ran out and shot a 3 minute video of it and followed him into Rosie's Bar at MASH camp next door.
All kinds of people were clapping along very enthusiastically and very loudly.
You can't find this level of surrealism and participation anywhere else on earth.

@foxfur I met so many great pipers and had a similar experience over at one of the Celtic camps. I was told to get in touch with you so I sent you a private message a little will ago about any advice you can give me on my set up. So foxfur let me know of any good resources or help you can give me with building my system.

Bag pipes sound magical on the playa. All acoustic instruments provide a welcome contrast to the usual excessive amounts of electronic music out there. I hope to see some bagpipes shooting fire in 2013!

I haven't finished my setup. I have the concept prepared and I think I understand it all but I've never worked with gas before so I'm not comfortable strapping propain tanks to my body. I'll provide some info if I finish the rig this year. Still any help would be appreciated.
