He's dead, so I don't think he's in a position to appreciate any kind of deliverance or final statements. I do feel for everybody who was travelling on or working for BART at the time, and whoever had to scrape him off the trackway. At least he didn't do it on the weekday commute.

RIP Marvin Morgan 48.

The husband of a friend of mine passed away on Nov. 16 from Lung and bone cancer. Left behind is my friend Maria, and their four children, Marvin Jr., Matthew, Marissa, and Mariah.

He was diagnosed 6 weeks ago and passed peacefully. The family felt blessed that they were all able to say goodbye. Today he was laid to rest.

We cannot choose the time or place. Just a lucky few get to go out in such fine style. At least those left behind may one day to smile at his passing knowing that he was doing what he loved.

I am sorry for your loss and for the loved ones left behind. I hope that in time the good memories will overshadow the immediate hardships and provide a sweetness to cover the loss.

The soldier killed during the weekend rescue mission in Afghanistan was identified as SEAL Team Six member Petty Officer 1st Class Nicolas D. Checque, of Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
