Re: The Bar
Fresh brewed pot of Kopi Luwak Coffee (KLC)! Lifting a steaming mug for all those who do the dirty jobs to keep us all in civilization.
Hearing about Breezy Point, what, 80-100 homes burned, people evacuating into 5-foot deep water, probably not warm water either.

yeah what a mess....*pours cognac shots*.....
I wonder, if any advantage related to that water......isn't it fairly warm, due to the gulf stream? I thought their ocean water was much warmer than ours here?
*slides fist full of shots down bar, each stopping at it's own spot.*

Gulps down likker without tasting it.
It's weird, tropical cyclone, then you got snow a few days march away.
Searching for silver lining. Such disasters pull people together usually, help them appreciate the little things in life.

The Irony of the story is the NY firefighters of the 1900 build their homes on that point.. Some of the building burned are from that time..

Let me help you with that. Buy Halliburton (HAL $32.07), Granite Construction (GVA $30.08) and Home Depot (HD $61.30). Give me a call if you need any further assistance. And don't feed me any of this biased bullshit about Halliburton. When disasters strike, they do an excellent job.

Yes, their water comes from the equator and ours from the arctic. However, standing waste deep in that water is going to get you colder faster than being in air at taht temp. Water conducts the heat away so much quicker.

yeah, I get that......just sayin it's probably better than standing in the colder water we have here. I'd imagine 10 degrees (or whatever the difference is) matters .

What the hell are you guys talking about...standing in water? You need some deeper pools. Time to soak up some of this 87 degree weather.

Re: The Bar
From the deep horizon of the playa, a black SUV makes its way to the back of the Bar. As the truck stops at the back of the bar. The area becomes cloaked in thick dust. As the dust clears a figure is sitting on the make shift couch in the alcove behind the Bar.
Opens a Small black case covered in Ostrich skin. Takes out a small container…pulls a ball of ear wax hash out of container. Rolls it between fingers until it is a thick snake the same length as the rolling paper. From the case~ Cuts up some good sticky bud. Making sure not to cut the bud up too much. Adds the bud to a rolling paper and drops the snake right in the middle. Adds some sticky bud on top, then rolls it up.
Licks~
Smooths out rolling paper~
Smiles~
Closes up case. Sets on ground next to make shift couch~
Pulls out his red cigar torch~
Lights the Snake in the grass~
Smokes~
Day dreams of days past~

Smiles in the darkness~~
“If it were only a gleaming fantasy, gushing in the darkness, It would have dried up in the day. But it became a play with smiles, hesitation, and glances, which grew into a desire. The desire blossomed into a shivering flower of lost control, breaking a solemn promise and doing apart. Cutting love in half.”
