I just drove by there, and did note freshly painted "welcome home" signs, with gramma types handing out coffee, pastries and little blue pills..........though it seemed certain folks got yellow, if they knew where Empire is.......

Sorry, Yggy, I have been having a Tequila Sunday here and totally blew off everything. I sat out in the sunshine and raised a cloud of playa dust off the last of the gear, as I cleaned it; a wonderful day.

Life got in the way for awhile but I am backand bringing a friend next year to BM. She is 70 and giddy to go. How are u?????? Is Hushville going to happen next yar? I thought I read they didnt get placed last year?

Hey WB, Hushville will be there as it has been and will be and I will be there with LF and a great bunch of others. Will be happy to see you once again. No rain!!! We made a couple of great shade structures last year that I believe will be back again in 2013. We also had a great two stall shower as well plus a library and other lovely goodies.

Hushville endures. The Home will almost certainly be returning to Hushville after wandering a bit. Still going to register as a theme camp within a village. That way I get the wacky blanket emails from desperate DJs and campers who obviously did not read a word about what my tiny camp entails. Interesting. I did love being in the camps heavily populated by eplayans, but I miss The Hush.

Gyre, it is nice to be here in Sunny (soon to be rainy) California. People speak of our earthquakes and yes they can be very bad, but there are natural hazards that occur pretty much everywhere. I recall the comments of you and others re the heat last summer and floods. A chemist friend once said, "You can't change nature for a nickle". Aserendipity, I'll be happy to hold forth about the joys of a camp that does not permit amplified sound and generators that we call Hushville. Been camping in Hushville for the past 6 years and will be going back again. Great folks and slightly quieter. Elections are always a bit of an anxiety experience for me so I'll be relived and either happy or sad on Wednesday. Maybe a little of both. Yea for the WA same sex initiative, Knownmad. You will make a lovely bridesmaid!!!

Good morning, Bar! And welcome back, AntiM, glad you enjoyed Mexico. I was able to get down that way once about 11 years ago - we didn't stay in Cancun proper, but in a little place about 2 hours south, just outside Tulum. What a great place for adventure and exploration, I definitely want to get back again someday.

I agree with you, Marty, every area has its hazards. While earthquakes make for sensational headlines when they do happen, over the long haul they're far less lethal and costly as tornadoes and hurricanes and the like.

I had some fun working on a little sound design project over the weekend, but I woke up this morning having second thoughts about how it turned out. Part of me wants to go back and redo it, while another part keeps trying to reassure me that it's fine, and the piece is already turned in.

I've been avoiding the internet as much as possible, the punditry and parroting of political nonsense has reached a fever pitch. I also spent a fair bit of my day immersed in some training material, but that's long since past and I'm in the middle of a vodka course.

The cats are still suspicious about the changing of the clocks - they were ready for dinner at what would have been the normal time and judging by their expectant looks they weren't buying the idea of time-shifting. I'm curious to see how long it will take them to adjust.
