Please try to stay clear of active volcanos today. I'm debating if I should haul my gas grill up to work one day this week and buy some burger and dogs and set it up at lunch and just offer a free burger/dog and a soda to anyone leaving through the back door (the REAL workers use the back door). Probably wait until it is warmer and more comfy to sit outside and eat it.

Keep the flame alive. Hug someone new today.
Burgers and dogs? That's a fine idea. The gift economy in the employee parking lot. Delightfully perverse.

Oh, good marnin' by the way.

O.K., I'm up...
Today the big crane truck and I are getting loaded onto a barge and sent to an island (Blakely Is. north of Anacortes for you Seattle people) and I have to hope I make it off the barge and up the beach... at 70,000 pounds, stuck is real fucking stuck. There's a very large log-loader there I can use to tug with... it has no brakes and it's a steep slope. No problem.

Another normal day in the rock business...

But first, the coffeemaker.

Three words, Cap'n: Traction, stability, ANCHOR!!

Good mornin', y'all... day five of coffee deprevation... hallucinations are past, shakes are gone, headaches are still a fact of life... I may kick this...

Is there a twelve step program for this?

Cookies are my weakness

Post by Mister Jellyfish Mister » Thu Oct 07, 2004 7:08 am

Good Morning sunshines. It's a lovely one in Sparks, Nevada. The air is crisp and still.

My wife shows her love for me in many ways including homemade cookies. They are my total weakness and I gobbled more than I care to admit last night. Stomach not on par for coffee so made the tea as strong as I could. If this keeps up I'll be like Sensei! I used to be bulletproof, damn it!

My 9 year old daughter is copying me with a decaf tea, little cutie.

Goooooooooooood morning.

Went to a vodka and potato chip party last night. Actually it was an opening of paintings all having to do with potatoes. (Is there an 'e' or no 'e' in the plural of potato(e)s? No matter). A woman I know slightly has gone into the potato chip business to squeeze more $$ out of her family's spud farm, and they were amazing, especially the ones spiked with dill.

Not sure what's what today. Maybe more shingling or a yoga class. Something with the little ones. Then tomorrow, weather permitting, it's time for Build and Burn. A group of us assembles at the beach to cobble together some kind of shit and then....LIGHT IT AFIRE!

Good Morning, all!
I started the day really well-I got up. BUT THEN, when I was almost to my destination, I realized I'd left the key I need today at home. I believe in
starting every day with as many mistakes and oversights as possible so this should be an outstanding day. Yep, mess up early and often and never let anybody else beat you to it.. :?

It's almost noon but anyways...

I'm getting set for a weekend full of Thanksgivings. We have it this Monday here in Canada. I have three dinners to go to, one each day Sat, Sun, Mon. Can't wait to eat, eat, eat, although I'm a veggie so no turkey for me but whatever. At tonight's dinner, some friends have been building a Stumpy man out of wood, so we're going to have 'Burning Stumpy' tonight. Will be fun. They are 'burners in training', some of the people who I'm convincing to go next year.

Went to look at a house with a 30x40 shop. House is a bit of a junker- old section built in 1800's on dirt poorly attached to 50's era addition. Does have possibilities. Woman gassed herself in shop 4 years ago. Will have a smudging first. She was a gardener and I'm good at growing stuff so my plan is to bring her gardens back to life to get on her good side. Will offer much less than asking price as he really wants to ditch it. Wondering if I am a vulture and if I will turn into a real estate mogul in a town of 300.

Good Morning your ass. I slept in this morning. And why not? I love this retired gig and I'm another year older. With no long dirt nap in sight. 67 years. That's on the 70 side of 60. My tag line at the bottom means more to me each day. I will be working on a new MV for 05 all day. Then diner with the kids and two exchange students that have come back for a visit. One from Sweden other from Japan. You would think I would have enough of kids with six of my own. But Mom and I have handed out a lot of love to a bunch of kids. Mom is gone but the kids/love keep coming back.
I'm the contraptioneer your mother warned you about.

DVD, I gather from his text, that yes indeed, unjon celebrated another birthday.

and what i would also like to point out, it appears his kindness sown long ago has shown a harvest of some mighty rewards.

Good Morning Everyone...

hump day... lots to do... see you at the bar.
