The cops are just doing their job. Yes there may be a few bad apples but most cops are good people. One of my regulars at the bub I work at is a senator and also is a cop with the sheriffs office. He is prob. one of my favorite bar patrons. He is a really good guy and has bent over backwards to help me out a few times. Hell I got to meet obama because of him. The other cops that come into the pub are just as good. Another is the sheriff of a town up the road. I never laugh as much as when he comes in. They are good people just doing their job. Truth is most people would like to hug you not hurt you. YOU sir like to play the victim plane and simple. Thus why I said you need to get some coping skills in place. You have net apparently so use it. I wish I still had the packing on coping skills packet from when i went into mental treatment as a teen. It helped me so much. I will have to dig around online after work and see if i can find it.
Theres a good book you should read called Stolen Lives - it details just a few of the innocent people killed by the police. And yes virtually all cops are bad b/c even the "good ones" know who the bad ones are and would never tell in a meaningful way. That doesn't mean they cant do their job occasionally.
I basically felt the same way about police before I first went to jail. I thought the stories i heard were ridiculous (police beating inmates for petty things) until I saw it time and again. And the reason they do it is simple - b/c they can. It was common knowledge in Los Angeles that the USC hospital was kept nearly full with victims of police brutality. From the LA Times
"One commenter described "brutal beatings of prisoners on a daily basis" at the jail ward of the Los Angeles County-USC Hospital. The other, a self-described emergency medical services provider, recalled frequently being called to jail facilities to "pick up the sheriff's assault victims.""
http://articles.latimes.com/2011/sep/25 ... s-20110925I saw it first hand, the slightest infraction would set the cops off (like not addressing a officer as "sir" or some other petty b.s). And if you were to exercise your 1st amendment right and talk back - ITS GAME OVER!!!
But of course outside of jail they are just the sweetest people ever. LOL
