Someone asked a question about POOP - People Out Of Place - a while back on this board. POOP, in this case, refers to those (non-volunteers)who are left behind after the event; I understand there are a few every year. I have often wondered what happens to them...

I think they are rounded up at playa info, checked over and given a sound spanking before being donated to charity. The left-overs are let loose to panhandle the streets of San Francisco.

We left late on Monday evening (it was after sunset but still twilight when we passed the gate) and saw only one person needing a ride. We had room but weren't going his way.
