I talked with Moonrise and would like to throw this out: Sunday morning, say around 11:30, for those who can scrape themselves out of bed (or off of the floor), meet at Harrah's for their champagne brunch buffet. Should run around $20 per person including tip. Last year we brought in our own champagne (they never seem to pour enough) and everybody got good and silly. Or something like that. There are five or six different stations (Mexican, Italian, etc.) and for the most part a pretty good brunch at a reasonable price.

Also we still have about a sixteen spaces left to fill on the train out of Roseville. From this point forward, until we can sell out the train, I'll have to hold off giving any more rooms at our cost at the Sands. Since we have already pre-paid for the train tickets, champagne, sandwiches, rooms, gifts, etc. we need to recoup our initial expense (we do not make a profit on this, all "excess" money is poured back into the cost of the booze) and then can start awarding inexpensive rooms. If I've already promised you a room, you're grandfathered in so no worries. PM me if you need an invitation. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

OK, time for an update. We are now at 49 people signed up! Technically 50 is a "sell out" but we can take up to 52. Because MDF will be flying home, we do have room for no more than three more people on the Amtrak. Also, if I am securing you a room (Moonrise and Triken have already paid), I will need the money ahead of time. I think the only people this pertains to are Tinkermom and Looneytunes. The Sands is putting everybody on one master bill and I need this taken care of before we get there, since I know full well the absinthe will be flowing long before we stagger into Reno. Looking forward to seeing everybody in 26 days!
