Re: chilly pad
I brought one with me my first year and it was incredible, I could sleep in the afternoon quite well with one on me.

Re: chilly pad
That's a little like me trying to leave camp at night.
Well, at least before I started keeping a list.

Savannah, do you belong to the "in-a-minute" club?? aka "I'll be ready to head out in a minute!" (translated, I will need 1/2 hr to get my stuff together)

Yes & no.

I used to be a lot worse, but a couple of years ago I started sharpie-ing the list of stuff I need and pre-packing the day bag and night bag before playa. That's helped considerably. And going out in the daytime is easier because one doesn't have to be lit up or warm from the get-go.

Re: chilly pad
I still don't know what a chilly pad is. I was forced to google it. Damn you.
So for others trapped in the space of wanting to know WTF a chilly pad is - it is basically a towel you wet and then put on you and because of the evaporation it helps you cool down.
It's a wet towel - in fancy packaging with a cool frog logo (the logo alone is worth the $10)

Oh cool! The way I'm seein' it, those of us who choose to run generators and air conditioners are simply in step with the theme!
