Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Hey there folks, for thoses who might be interested,
tonight is the best night this year to sit outside and look
for meteors from the Geminid meteor shower.
No expectations, but you will likely see at least a few
if you have clear skies this evening.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
I agree, BvB, tonight (and maybe tomorrow too) should be pretty good to look up. We're doing the late movie thing here, and will try and take a few minutes here and there to check on the walk home.
I love Mozybonz' clock from 2008, it makes me want to work on one of my own once I finish getting all the art/web materials together for my camp plans.

yeah, looks like we'll have clear skys tonight, too.......
I got the sides and bottom of the Hofstove, put together, not final welded, but all fit and secured. It's nice when stuff fits together, as you plan, and hope. I had minimal adjustment necessary.
*sets bottle of Kraken on bar,for celebratory imbibing.

Thanks for the drink TinkerMom.. Happy Birthday!
Yg, sorry to hear you didn't see much last night. It was pretty good here. I suspect it is simply a matter of the density of the debris trail as the earth travels through it, at the time you are watching. It is always sort of a crapshoot.

Think of it as a deterrant to all those who were planning on going presale just to hedge their bets. Mark your calendar for January 4 for the regular sale details.

Piehole, that $650 is only for the plutocrats amongst us. It will get better. Trilo has it right, as usual.
LMAO at the steel wool reference, Elliot. But you are right on. His sleeve is made of chain mail. Tough nose on that YG!
Cold as a well digger's helmet here. Bringing an ice chopper to the courts tomorrow! Howdy again, BVB

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
well I won't have the cash to buy a ticket in january So i guess its back to the panic i had way back in '11 that the fairys and wizards don't get all the tickets before i do. Its not like i can make any commitments to go until I have that ticket bought and paid for. I know tickets will available on craigslist and all that but well it's just too big a risk for me to spend prolly £700 on a plane ticket before i even get my event ticket. i need to renew my visa waiver thingy this year too. *sigh* well i gues i shall get dressed and go see someone.
