JUMP!
Beans and Cornbread
JUMP!
Beans and Cornbread had a fight
Beans knocked Cornbread outta sight
Cornbread said "Now that’s all right, meet me on the corner tomorrow night"
I'll be ready, I'll be ready tomorrow night
Beans told Cornbread you ain’t straight
You better wake up or I'll gash your gate
Been in this pot since half past two
Swelling and puffing and almost due
I'll be ready tomorrow night, that’s what Beans told Cornbread
Always getting mad at me, I ain’t mad at you
I'll be ready tomorrow night, I'll be ready, Mmmmmm
Beans grabbed cornbread by the toe
Beans said "Cornbread let me go"
Cornbread said "I'll lay you low, I’m gonna fight you, you so and so"
Meet me on the corner, met me on the corner tomorrow night
That’s what Beans said to Cornbread , you so bad, you always wanna fight
Meet me on the corner tomorrow night and I’m gonna beat the devil out of ya
Oooohhhhh on the corner tomorrow night
Beans hit Cornbread on the head, Cornbread said I’m almost dead
Beans told Cornbread get up man, you know that we go hand in hand

Harry Wragg
What the fuck?
I was just editing and then the post duplicates.
Apparently you can't edit after twenty minutes???

Background on the song:
In rhyming slang Harry Wragg has been used to mean "fag", but this has fallen into disuse since Wragg's retirement from the public eye and his death.
The Scottish football team Patrick Thistle are sometimes referred to as the Harry Wraggs as it rhymes with the official club nickname, the Jags.
Although the rhyming slang "Harry Wragg" (for a cigarette) has fallen out of favor in large parts of the globe, it still has extensive usage amongst the small Protestant community of south County Dublin despite his death in 1985.

Yeah, there's been a time limit on editing (30 minutes) since sometime in 2011.

I thought it was an hour.
That's the message I'll get, even when it hasn't been an hour.
No message this time.
No idea about the duplication. That's new.
I think the time used to be an hour, maybe before 2011?

I like the Wall of voodoo version too.
I've got a lot to do and can't seem to focus. "Mysterious Wisterias" still one of my favorite phrases... and yet, I cannot use it in general conversation. I wait patiently.

The tail end of "Better Living Through Show Tunes" on WORT-- they are doing some sort of seasonal songs show. (Actually rather mediocre.)

Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.
