some one told me "dirty old ball syndrome" is rampant among short hair hares. basicly they don't live as long as their balls do.

He is 12 or 13 years old I think, maybe older (he was full grown when we got him). Supposedly this is common among older rabbits and dogs according to the vet. Technically he is not a short hair, but a rex meaning he has no guard hairs or whiskers and his fur feels just like velvet.

Just picked him up from the vet and he is doing fine (and is quite stoned and keeps requesting to hear White Rabbit).

Pre eunuchification he was decidedly gay, and had zero interest in females - but these days I don't think even bunny viagra could spark his interest.

Bunny Terrifies Small Town


Authorities in Keene, NH have recently been alerted to a strange rabbit that has inexplicably started showing up outside residents’ windows. The bunny has been described as small, fuzzy, and most definitely sinister.

“There’s been a spike in calls,” says Chief of Police Lou Holtz. “People see the bunny, they don’t know what to do. Naturally, they call 911.”

Residents tell The Fluffington Post that the bunny shows up randomly, but usually after dinner.

“He just sits out there, staring, planning Lord knows what,” says Marge Schiffley. “I haven’t slept in weeks.”

According to Holtz, the bunny has presented a unique threat to the community.

“I’ve never dealt with anything this creepy, ” says the 26-year veteran. “To be honest, he’s kind of cute. But that’s obviously just part of his plan.”

My daughter came to visit Friday with her dog. My bunny was pissed and from inside his cage, bullied that dog until it was afraid and whining in the corner. Pretty funny considering he weighs 40 ounces and the dog weighs almost 40 pounds.

My bunny freaked me out this morning - I thought he was dead. He was layiing fully stretched out on his side in an area of the cage he doesn't usually hang out in and was in such a deep sleep he didn't move until I opened the cage and lifted him out. Guess he was exhausted from delivering all those eggs last night.
