Happy happy Illy

AAARGH was woken up by a Washoe county deputy at 2:30 am last night knocking on my door. Seems someone slammed into the back of my little car while it was parked curbside in front of my house. I had been woken up about a half hour earlier when I heard sirens and engines racing up the street, but I had fallen back asleep.

Turns out cops were in a high speed chase of the car that hit mine. The cop had to abandon the chase but called the hit in. AAARGH! Turns out they did run the plates and found the registered owner (who had just registered the car for his girlfriend). So hopefully their insurance is in order as all I have is basic liability on mine :(

Should know more in a week and at least I can share the burner mobile in the meantime with my daughter...

That is all
Oh my god, it's HUGE!

well, did the test of the reserve water tanks( 1200 gallons) to see if the truck would draft.
It does, but there's something I'm doing somewhat wrong, in that pressure drops if I'm trying to just draft water from the tanks, instead of from the onboard tank.

getting ready:

Pulling handle, and falling backwards off truck(but catching self and scrambling back to position) (note, though, the "stays" were tight, so the monitor stayed in place):

Very cool yggy! The Frankencamper still rocks! You have some majestic looking trees out there too.

Happy Birthday Illy!

I'm still loaded down with work here, not much time for anything else at the moment.

hi Trilo.
yeah, it was pretty fun.

I'm wrestling with connectivity issues........dang ATT DSL......... can't load FB correctly, and what loads seems not to work right.
the techs on the phone were watching in real time, saying I'm losing signal several times per hour. And, maybe, they can send a tech out to check the lines by Friday. Jeebus!! if I"m late paying they get upset! and this has been going of for 3 dang weeks!!
Luckily, most of the time Eplaya works, though sometimes I have to refresh.
Any techies out there know much about this stuff?

Ha good morning, gosh.

*starts ECM*

I need coffee. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Shoulda been here yesterday, but my clock betrayed me.

Happy belated birthday Illy!!! Sorry I missed it. And Lucky, gosh, that sucks having your car smashed. :( Best wishes for getting that sorted out.

Yggy that Frankencamper is so awesome, wow.

I got myself into a serious shitstorm yesterday at work, due to an insufficient show of reverence at a mandatory training meeting. My boss says I am "lacking in self-awareness." Probably means I should ditch the odd earring, buy some corporate-style clothing and smile fakishly at all the people I hate. Trouble is, I really do not care what other people think. Though I do want them to keep on paying me. :? Oh well I hope I can write an adequate apology to the highly paid but now extremely butt-hurt consultant lady.

Too much bullshit in the world.

Pink I am so happy to hear that you had a marathon LOTR day too. 8) 8) 8)

Mmm, coffee. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Nice stream, Yggy. Impressive volume.

Lucky, ouch, that sucks. Fingers crossed for insurance!
Happened to our neighbor years ago, but was a drunk, not the cops. Ran into their pickup, trashing the side, but left it driveable. I looked out the window and saw the car that did it, but the lady next door was in a rush in the morning to get her kids to school/appointments and didn't call the cops until after she'd driven the kids around in her damaged truck. Zippo anyone could do at that point. Since then, Larry won't park on the street if he can help it.

Illy, have a second or third helping of love! Rowr!

MDF ... may we wish for assless corporate style clothing?

MDF, it is the charade of Defaultia. 51 weeks of the year. And then we are on the Playa and we are us. A bit of a shame.

Hey Lucky, hope your automotive woes are quickly and happily resolved.

YG, that is one hell of a stream!!! I am given to understand that a substantial segment of the female population of northern California and Nevada are on their way to your place for a first hand look see. Don't blame them a bit! As Lucky says "It's huge!"

ASD, you've got a lot of living ahead, no doubt!

Cold and clear here. Have a wonderful first day of the rest of your lives, kiddies

Thanks so much for the support, you guys. All 8) 8) 8) here now, sitting in my cubicle with my blinky red scarf snuggled around me.

We have hardly had any winter here yet; clear and in the 50's for us today. Can't believe the solstice is almost here. Got my tree up last night, hooray, it's all covered in lights so the sun will come back. :D

Good morning, my peeps!

Impressive hose you have there, Ygmir!

MDF, can't say what hasn't already been said, but learn to surf or get out of the water, I guess that's the best I can say.

Back from Palm Springs, as you can see it was comfortably warm!

Had the most wonderful meal last night with San Francisco friends.
Lots of bay area goodies, good wine, exquisite food, fresh baked rye bread, good comrades.
Makes a change.

Ever watch the series Dinosaurs?
If you watched the tv in the background, all through the series, the weather reports always said, "Long term weather for the supercontinent, it's going to get colder and colder and colder ... "

The series ended with them looking out the window as it snowed and snowed.
