Only when Reality intrudes too much. (Such as choosing between food, clothing, shelter, and Burning Man. I can only afford one.)

I've never been able to get Reality to agree to that, 'fishy.

Just another black mark next to Reality's name.

A group of virginal New Orleanians going this year and wanting to contribute. A few ideas have surfaced.... we have a master coffee roaster in our gang, and if we can get a roaster that is portable enough, we might roast coffee outside, you can make a whole region smell like coffee, and keep a brewing station going or gift out fresh roasted. We can get 50 lb sacks of green beans pretty cheap.... thats easy enough to do, just depends on the scale we take it to.

And then we saw PolyParadise and their shower thing.

On a very much smaller scale, one of our members has the know how to build a recirculating shower, where the water is filtered, pre filter/sand filter/ carbon filter/ then ozonated for sanitization... and could provide a hippie washing station that didn't use a ton of water and can have relatively large flow and volume since it recirculates. probably dump it a couple of times a day to freshen the sysytem. we have a trailer that can take a palate size water tank and similiar size grey water tank.

Especially the hippie cleaning station.... any thoughts on if there are challenges with this that first timers might not have considered?/

My standard answer: Go for it, good luck!
How do you plan to run the roaster? Electric? Gas? Propane? The very flames of the incinerated man? Heat from Good Intentions?

Propane. One problem is that they are all designed for natural gas and may require some orifice tweeking to use propane. But orifice tweeking is usually worth the effort. We have a small electric one at our disposal, but it doesnt require a master roaster to run it and only does about half a pound at at time. We have a newly renovated 1973 Starcraft starcruiser RV that was renovated with BM in mind and has robust infrastructure for such things.

You might want to know that the "sand" of the black rock desert, is actually very fine dust that can clog all sorts of filters.

And if you put chicory in your coffee, that would be super. I wont even mention beniets.

(That doesn't count as a mention--I didn't spell it right.)
