Good morning! Things have been crazy busy (in a good way). Pandorra's off on holiday break and we were doing a bit of running around yesterday and ran into Eric at lunch yesterday, that was fun.

He didn't get me drunk at all (the bastard!), but in fairness everyone was in the middle of a day of running errands. I didn't start seriously boozing it up until after getting home and unloading the van.

Say, folks.... I played back and forth with Babelfish and my spotty German language skills but could not make sense of the above post by Kvon. So I searched his posts and read a bit in two or three threads about his "power" project. Looks like it would take hours of reading to make sense of it. So I ask those who were involved at the time: Was this for real, or was it art?
(No offense intended, Kvon.)

Hi gang!!
Hey, it's Kvon!! howdy sailor!!
where ya been? Last I remember reading, something about being in jail or something about customs, and your "Mentor" having some issues with German authorities?
What was it, 3 or 4 years ago? I know it was the same time as "Ein Hammer", the super project by Jellyfish.
I see your English is getting better and better. I hope your studies and project are still under way.
IIRC Gyre, it was not a mesh, it was some sort of fibrous pipe, I believe made to ultimately decompose, laid along/near and some distance under the trash fence.
And dang, missed TITWI, too!! *waves and salutes*, notes handprints on dusty Cap'n Morgan bottle**

Morning YG, ASD and Gyre. No tennis today due to wet courts. Determined to create some pottery today. Heard that the world pottery supply is becoming seriously depleted and I must do something to correct this dangerous state of affairs.
Purring, peeks out of the NEB, wipes away the huckleberry sauce and wishes all a wonderful day.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Wow. slept late today... had a long movie of a dream... sort of unraveled at the end, and now I can't remember it. Was nice. I don't know what to do today, but will start with the weekend basics. Then get the Christmas pile wrapped and labeled. I found a soup pot and that had burnt rice in the bottom, I remember scouring it and then giving up. Still a smooth thin layer of rice shaped black burn spots. I bought some coca cola, and have been soaking it, might work. Does anyone know if you need to replace the soda after a period of time to keep it's effectiveness up?
*goes to fridge, and finds some ice cream and huckleberry sauce* Yay! That's some good vanilla ice cream. *picks tiny huckleberry stem from between teeth* So hard to clean those isn't it? Thanks ygmir. Howdy Kvon!

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
hey Elorrum!
have you tried oven cleaner? I use that when stuff gets really stuck.
I think it's the phosphoric acid in the coke that does the work, along with carbonation (and associated carbolic acid from infusion in water).
I'd bet you do need to add some from time to time, for most effect, in that the alkaline/base nature of the starches and carbon my neutralize the acids with time.
we do cheat on the huckleberries and buy them "wildcrafted/picked" on the slopes of Mt. Ranier, but well cleaned by the sellers.
I once got the chance to go to a wild blueberry patch up there.........oh heaven..............

Hang on, I've cheese and mac in the oven, almost ready. Line up with your bowls and spoons. If any of your arteries are still not clogged from Yggy's meaty feast, I'll take care of them. Meanwhile, some brandy shots to keep warm with.

Cookie baking day! I have requests for nut free (can do) and vegan (yeah, yeah). I have some stevia baking mix, and Smart Balance baking spread, but you bet some batches are going to be pure butter and egg and sugar creations!
I will tell you: It works. As awful as it sounds, they're good. The directions will say "Allow to cool completely"... I ignored that the first time I made black bean brownies. Don't! The cooling time allows it to no longer taste like black beans!
I'll be making these over the next few days: http://www.acouplecooks.com/2012/12/cho ... n-cookies/

Preparing a holiday meal for my lady tomorrow.
Crawled under the house to see why the bathroom is freezing. Looks like they laid the tile right over the subfloor. I can see the tiles from under the house between the subfloor planks. Guess it's time to caulk and insulate down there.
The fireplace doesn't have a damper neither. I need to find a damper that goes on the top of the chimney. There's a cap on there right now, and I'll have to pry that off without breaking the flue and hope I can find a chimney cap damper that will fit. Wish me luck....
