I'm building a 16ft geodesic dome for Burning Man 2013, and I'm wondering if anyone near LA has a shop press I could use or borrow. I don't really have a place that I can store a bunch of tools when I'm done so it would be ideal if I didn't have to buy them all.

You can find a rental place.

My camp and I are also thinking on this but need some help on how to put it all together so it doesn't flop when the time to put it up comes. Do you mind telling me how are you going about this?

You might check local maker-spaces, subscription or by the hour shops. http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/List_of_Hacker_Spaces
Sure our LA Basin readers know those and maybe more. Friends with free access to university machine shops are also an approach. You will may go through some drill bits and want to grind the corners to slightly round.
Best with your dome!
