I biggest peeve is the large art car/sound cars, that pull up to a camp, event, or installation, and blast everyone nearby out, or drive down the street and park.........
and, then try the "oh, are we bothering?" look. When you can see them laughing and pointing as they approach, as much to say "here, look how big my wallet/dick is, and I can totally stop all conversations, lower volume music, and enjoyment, when I want,for as long as I want.

honestly, and in all seriousness, sound at that level can be fucking dangerous, and if you hit a "sweet" spot with too much dB you will rupture someones fucking eardrums if they aren't protected.

Me, I have a rather nasty case of tinnitus -- a permanent hissing noise in my ears, which tends to drive me batty. The medical evidence seems clear that this was caused by the many loud sounds I "enjoyed" earlier in life, such as rock concerts, power tools, target shooting, race cars and motorcycles, and so forth. We fragile humans really need to take better care of ourselves over the long run.

I have just found ear muffs that span from ear to ear.. The connecting part go's on the back of the neck.. At first I was going to take the muffler part out.. just use then to keep playa dust out of the hearing aids.. Will leave them as is for sound protection.. Aircraft took my hearing out..
