Sounds good. Probably wont get to hotel until 9 or so but we can touch base later. Question, is this a casual weekend, jeans and such or do you guys dress up? This is my first Reno BM party. Name tags would help dont u think or am I the only newbie?

Re: Amtrak Party in Reno!
Bwahahahahahahaha, y'all are definitely the right people to party with.
Doc I have no objections at all to being adjacently located in the center of the party block as I have no intention of wasting any time sleeping. Happy to fill up my bathtub with ice if somebody will haul it in for us.
Music!!! (((Elorrum))) you are a goddess.
Winebuff (Julie there are far far too many Julies in this world) you do not even have to worry about what you are wearing, please, wear whatever makes you feel happy, or fits in your luggage, or happens to be reasonably clean that day.
My grandmother's mink coat is coming, because she heard there might be snow. But underneath will be my usual sliced up tee and home made skirt. My boots are still dusty but they are coming too.

Re: Amtrak Party in Reno!
arrival 4 pm-ish...if last year was any indication...it take a bit for everybody to get their poop in a group. some people were picked up in vehicles (large ice coolers to be hauled) while other marched along the sidewalk to the sands. killbuck and i had 'protest signs' about no death to barbies...and may greet you again in that spirit. hopefully, doc pyro will not kick us out of his room...so he can indulge in his proclivities. party on wayne.

Re: Amtrak Party in Reno!
I just got off the phone with the people at Carving's Buffet at Harrahs. They have set aside a back room for 40 people. We are good to go at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Rather than putting it all on my credit card, they are going to charge per person. It should come to about $18.50 apiece including tax and tip. (If you have a Harrahs players card they knock off $5) I guess if there are more than 40 of us, we'll just have to figure it out as we go along. We should (if last year is any indication) bring along an extra eight or ten bottles of champagne just to be on the safe side. I nominate Winebuff to head up that task. Anybody second the motion?

Let me see how much it would cost to ship more down. Not sure if it is worth it for cheap bubbly. Stay tuned
Re: Amtrak Party in Reno!
Ok, I have got our libations covered for brunch. Do we know if they have a corkage fee or shall I call them Doc? I will bring down a case (12 btls) of Bubbly.

Re: Amtrak Party in Reno!
No corkage fee. We just bring them in (and try to be at least a bit nonchalant) and pop them. The nice thing about Nevada is they're pretty flexible about these sorts of things. Thank God for tips.

Very excited to meet you and hang out. Now do you think the TSA security at the airport will notice all those bottles stuffed down my shirt ?

Re: Amtrak Party in Reno!
we could consider, on Sunday, taking a road trip out to see the playa.
it's about 2 hours each way. probably less, but I'd want to allow time.
maybe even catch GH if he's off work.
we'd need to see how many drivers/cars and how many riders, though.
Any thoughts?

What time does everyone who is taking the train back to Calif have to leave Sun?
