DIGITAL APEX CAMP 2013

Welcome to the world of Digital Apex. We are a Burning Man Theme camp based out of Santa Cruz CA. Our group is a 501c(3) nonprofit that helps bring artists together, to work in harmony, and achieve a common goal. We welcome artists of all types and encourage you to go bigger and better then you ever have before. Your creativity is not only what drives us but also gives us life.

Our current plans for 2013 are to construct a massive coliseum that stretches over 135' wide and over 40' tall. Featuring an Insane DJ booth, 30' high statues, flame effects, lasers, intelligent lighting, 100k watt sound system, and many other TBD designs.

For more info or to be a part of our group please complete the application bellow.
See you on the playa,
-Digital Apex Team-

I like cheese. And... I like big butts (and I can not lie)! I also have my own cup, and I maintain a fairly small carbon foot print.
Must love cigars, and pop culture trivia. :coffee:

Less than average, as I have a Russian friend and things get uncomfortable after "Da tovarisch" and poverty/vodka/potato jokes.

Latvian is rub lamp find genie. Genie say, “What is three wishes?” Latvian say, “I wish potato!” Then, POOF! Potato! Latvian so happy! “Oh! Is potato! Is potato!” say Latvian. Genie ask, “What is next wish?” Latvian is say, “I wish you go away so can enjoy potato!” POOF! Too bad. Also, was only lamp.

-----
Latvian walk into bar, order much vodka. Bartender say, "We have no vodka."

Latvian say, "Is okay, I have no money."

Bartender say, "Is okay, too. There is no bar, we have rationing."

-----
Latvian walk into bar with pig on shoulder. Bartender say, “That look delicious!” But pig say, “No. Is Latvian. Taste of similar to dog.”

Aru! My name is Rose. I do a lot of sewing (never have used a pattern) mostly clothes[skirts, vests] and sitting cushions[tea time, relaxing, om cushions]. I crochet, I do dry/wet felting, herbal lotions/tinctures, up-cycling craft projects, beading, and I can rub my tummy and pat my head at the SAME TIME.
I also dance and do yoga.. not sure if those would qualify for anything.
I'm better at dancing than I am yoga-- FREE FoRM.
My sewing specialties include woodland styles and colors. yuuum.
I can also set up a killer alter.

Love~

Look at the Sew Sew Village thread, maybe that'll be something interesting to you.
There are a lot of costume camps, but I think that people on playa who can do alterations will be in high demand.

I'm closing down this thread, and directing camp organizers to consider using the Burning Man Spark collaboration tool, as well as starting a separate thread for their camp on this board. When posting your thread, please be mindful of ePlaya's rules on Commerce & Advertising, the bit about camp financials in particular:
  • Camp Dues - we allow you to promote your camp and recruit for members on ePlaya whether or not your camp charges dues, though we ask you to not post dues amounts or financial breakdowns on our site. You can post that info on your camp's site, or have those conversations with interested parties via private message.
Those looking to find a camp, please browse through camp listings/recruitment posts on Spark and the Theme Camps board, and reach out directly to the camp(s) that you're interested in. Additionally, you may want to read the How To Join A Theme Camp or How To Start A Theme Camp threads.
