Good morning!
*starts ECM*
Thanks, y'all, I had a really happy birthday and stayed up way too late last night working on a BM art grant application with my son.
Paying for it now, of course. Where is that

*wanders in, makes CCC*
Thanks MDF.
Well, the Hofstove seems to have survived testing/annealing Last night, I got it up to melting lead temp (about 600 deg. F) probably higher, but, my electronic thermometer only goes to 450, so I put a wheel weight on the top, and it melted. But, didn't get "bright" red, so below 750 deg. F. I put some coal in, too, to raise the heat, hopefully beyond normal operating range.
A little tweaking of the smoke shelf and diverter and all is good, I hope........And, I've found a cool thing to make the ovens from, so, will start that project, in the next couple of days. Gotta do some cleaning of the shop and my house, and get some groceries first.....ahah I get so involved in projects, I forget all the other stuff...
Thanks MDF.

Hey gang, it's always good to see my burner friends here. They still have me working long hours like a dog, but it pays the bills.

Morning, Kiddies. Wow, what a party! Always a party when MDF's around. Can't wait to see that Hof Stove, YG, and better yet cooking some bacon on it. Hey, BVB, good to see ya. I still have some of your tennis ball art on the wall in my office. Love it. Hell of a doughnut, LF, took a few bites and it is YUM! Careful with all that sliding about in the slop! Busy day ahead. Hope the notifications are working again. Seems to have been a bit quiet ... or maybe it's just me.

Oh Yggy, the Crucible is an org. that teaches about many of the things you do already...check it out online.see if you like it.
When I taught in innercity, whole families found some benefit. And it keeps expanding. This time only silent (not always) adjunct to artist.
Hey Marty , where is all the cold stormy they promised ? and when is your event ? can we come ?

Morning all. I'm on day ten of the cold, still hacking. I do NOT want to go to the base clinic, my PCM is an ass.
Big storm headed our way. Lovely. I think Larry will be headed to Santa Clara, which means going over Donner's in the snow with a steel load. Running with two other trucks, so he'll have company, but I still get a bit nervous.
Yggy, your stove gets hot enough to bake na'an. Yum.

Aye, the Crucible has a Fire Arts Festival in Oakland. Not sure when they schedule it, but it's very cool.aserendipity wrote:Oh Yggy, the Crucible is an org. that teaches about many of the things you do already...check it out online.see if you like it.

Hi everybody! Just stopped in to let y'all know that tonight's episode of Jeopardy has one of our Burners as a contestant. Parker, (playa name Cake) taped the show last fall and hasn't been able to tell anyone how it went. He is an incredibly smart guy but we will see how fast his buzzer hand is! Good luck Cake!
