Can a cop order you out of your car without a good reason?
What are some of the things to avoid in police profiling..
Like some cop see a red car and figure it's speeding..

Hi, this is the site admin. I've cleared out your signature line, please do not use your signature

Why are You siding with your friends and the regulars instead of being neutrel? Most of the people with thousands of posts constantly troll, belittle and insult other users. You and the other admins excuse that as "snark" AKA asshole sarcasm. What's the difference when your Connected friends that troll eplaya hours each day are "snarky" or people you don't know are snarky? Have you ever censored your friends or old time eplayans with thousands of posts? Or you just censor non connected eplayans?
If you can't stay unbiased you should resign and appoint an unbiased moderator.

Anyone taking offence at anything in my posts - tough. It's only an internet forum. Stop being overly sensitive. you are shallow and banal. Eplayans who spend hours a day posting need to make in person friends and mentally masturbate less.

Thanks for removing that obnoxious sig line Trilo. Mostly like to think about this place as a constructive and entertaining part of my day, nothing starts me off on a bad foot more than seeing my friends and myself be baited and badgered by foul attitudes and blatant rude behavior. keep up the good work.

A bit funny.
Eplaya only seems that way sometimes because of some people's prattling about idealism, with an utter failure of any pretense of actually living up to it.
Granted, I was on a forum with Luka Magnotta, and cheerily drink tea made from the blood of my enemies, but the rudest forum I'm on is a science forum.
There's probably a forum of high school girls somewhere that's worse.
Eplaya doesn't even rank.
I wonder if Big Bang Theory is maybe based on more than just fiction?
Really mean science.

My sig was merely directed at all the 1000+ post people. You know, those snarky assholes. But alas, Trilobyte is always picking on me.
I remember being on forums where there was a well-established policy of mods removing people who engaged in what could be considered "heretical" speech. So by comparison, most mods I encounter now are very tolerant and patient.

Re: 2012 Experiences with Police
My experiences with leos were equally as calm. 1st was to let us know that the back light of a vehicle wasn't turned on. We turned it on and went on our way. 2nd time was a short convo with a female officer from Carson City where we compared our time on the playa. Her and a couple officers were taking photos with some of the art that was still on the playa.tamarakay wrote:I was walking down 4:00 to the porto's when a police car pulled alongside and asked if I wanted a pop-ice. I said yes and they offered me a red one. The passenger side guy complimented my outfit (red corset, black sparkley booty shorts and fish nets). I told them a joke (how do you catch a unique rabbit? You neek up on him). Then the driver one said "have a safe burn" and I said "right back at you baby".
Then they drove off.
Next time I'm gonna prepare some good jokes!

Re: 2012 Experiences with Police
Late Tuesday night we got pulled over just after entering the gate because we were hauling a new trailer with no license plate. In CA you don't get a temp plaque or anything with a trailer except a little slip of paper you carry with you. There was absolutely nothing on the back of our trailer. I was actually surprised we made it all the way to the Playa from Sacramento without getting pulled over. The LEO was very nice and inspected our temporary registration for the trailer and my insurance card. I also had the trailer purchase paperwork with me. He asked to see my truck registration. I didn't have my bifocals on because I'd taken them off to roll in the dust. I grabbed what I thought looked like the registration through my age stiff eyes and handed it to the LEO. He chuckled, handed it back, asking if we knew where we were going. I assured him we did and gave him the cross streets. He said "you folks have a safe Burn." Then before he sent us on our way he said "don't be surprised if you get pulled over again on your way to camp" (we didn't).
When I handed what I thought was the registration back to my wife she cracked up laughing and said now she knew why the LEO chuckled. I'd handed him an old insurance card instead of the registration, which I had with me BTW and he probably saw in my binder. I'm sure he thought "Nothing happening here. Move along."
We had no other interaction with the LEOs for the rest of the week or the drive home, which was fine with us.

Re: 2012 Experiences with Police
For example, trailers in Nevada need a plate on the rear. In Utah they do not if they're unregistered, and only trailers > 750lbs need to be registered*. Our vehicle got pulled over by a cop for some plating issue with regards to our trailer, but directly informing the officer that plating for our trailer in Utah is unnecessary cut the conversation short. With nothing else to pin on us he let us go.
I don't exactly get this (I believe you, not calling you out but why is it they will honor some laws from other states but make a big no no on MMJ cards and such. Fuck here in Colorado, EVERYONE is legal. Oh well, I will just follow the law for NV. We had the same kind of problems at Wakarusa when it was in Kansas. because of all of the trouble with law enforcement, they eventually moved the entire event to another state!!! It was a good move btw because the new venue is in the mnts and way cool. Anyway I digress, b4 I finally made it into the gate at Waka, I was on the KS turnpike with the local cops, the hwy patrol, the DEA, Homeland Security, and two dogs in my camper. It was not pleasant but in the end, they took my bag of weed and my pipe (I will say he asked if it was a special pipe if so I could keep it). I said it was ok to check my camper (having all my weed in the pickup). Well that didn't work to say the least. I was so thankful the cops let me go, that it didn't really bother me. My gf was off the hook saying "They can't do that. Etc" She was probably right, but I just felt lucky to get off just losing some weed. Live and learn. I must say I had a sign in my camper that you saw from the outside with the old saying "Hippys Welcome Here". which was a bit of a neon sign eh ...... cr**** BTW, geez it took me an hour or so to catch up on this thread.......

That way the rest of us could learn what there profiling is..
Like keep your windows clean.. Tarp your load(good).. Extra lights.. on and on..
Those of us that have driven truck, know how to get on down the road without a lot of fussing around..

Spice is synthetic weed aka jwh-018
yea the only way for alot of people to do that would be to get a roof rack, or take off the license plate and put it in the rear windshield.

Re: 2012 Experiences with Police
I remember this past burn my girl and I were walking back to camp from the 10 & Esplanade area. A man comes up from behind me and picks up a bicycle and begins to walk along side me. He says to me flat out "wow that was a great party. Do you have any extra drugs for sale"? I laughed, looked at him and said no I don't sorry. He asks me "what about your girl does she have anything extra to sell"? I said "no officer we don't have anything for you. Sorry". He put down the bicycle and walked back to wherever he came from.
I think I made him feel awkward.
