I'm currently taking care of a lab mix and a Cuban. Neither is a very good listener, but I'll be damned if they aren't affectionate!

My current vote for cutest ePlaya pet is definitely Stinko the Wonder Dog, of whom I'd love to see more photos!
When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

Stinko is awesome, I must agree with you, kinda reminds me of the dog in Mad Max

What lovely faces! Great new thread . . .

Playa Hater, I love vocal, friendly cats. Or cats that act like dogs. :D (Sometimes there is distinct overlap.)

My dog scrappy was homeless and skin and bone when I found him, nursed him back to health.
Salem, the cat, arrived the week after my dad passed away. I heard a lovely statement about cats I like to believe is true "Cats are never truly yours, cats will go where they're needed"
Salem is lucky to still have fur the amount of petting I gave it when it first arrived :D

Two beautiful pets :D

Is Haze the boss? Salem seems to have held its own since it arrived, dogs have got used to him being around.
I was shocked to see how brave the little cat was. They all get on now and sleep together sometimes. i thought it was going to be a nightmare but worked out well.

Here's my zebra finches, James van der Beak (the male in the front), Deborah Winger and Feather Locklear (the females in the back). David Fincher has unfortunately passed on...

Finches are awesome. If you give them enough seed and some water, they could care *less* when you leave for a few weeks to go to Burning Man. I almost think they're happier when i'm not here. Zebra finches are noisy little bastards though; society finches have a much calmer chirp and a prettier song. And Goulidan finches are much prettier. But zebras are basically indestructible.

BWAHAHAAH!!!!! Wooo HOOO PETS!!!!!!

This is Sonya (Sonya Bear aka Monkey Face). This was at about 8 months. I need to take some now that she is a year old this month.
Image
Sonya playing in the creek at the local dog park.
Image
Sasha (aka fuzzy-lumpkins) on the left and Eddie Boy on the right. Sasha just sorta lives with us, shes just around here and there, doesn't like to be petted much. Eddie is a lover most of the time. They're both hooked on the C-Nip.
Image

We've had the cats for a few years. Got Eddie just before BMan 2009, got Sasha just after Bman 2010. When we adopted Sonya back in May Eddie didn't realize she was a dog until the first time he got barked at. Didn't see them on the same floor of the house for months.
In the last month or so, the cats have convinced Sonya that they are very very scary. They play a game we call king of the stairs- Sonya runs up the stairs, gets hissed at and smacked up, then runs down... then back up the stairs for round 2.

Harry Buttlicker, found on Harrison Blvd. Skin and bones kitten, now 18 pounds. Big boy! Visitors rarely catch a glimpse of him.

Oide (oy-day) adopted rescue, our neighbor was his foster mom.

I also have my dad's two little girl cats, Trixie and Punkin. Tiny ladies, about 6 pounds each. Punkin is a talker but psychotic. Trixie is a little bundle of love. I hate that I have to lock them up in their own bedroom at night and when we are gone, but Oide is a punk bastard and attacks them.

This is Bucky. We found him on our doorstep when we came home from work. We had a fenced in front yard at the time so someone actually dropped him over the fence. He was just a few months old as near as we could tell but healthy and barking at us like he owned the place. So he's about 7 now and he still owns the place. Don't even know what kind of dog he is but it doesn't really matter, He's my bud. :D

I traded a 5 pound bag of oranges for real fit 6'5" submissive with a spiked collar and leash at Temple of Atonement auction in 2002.

He was the best pet ever, for that one day.

Sorry, no pictures.

Our horde - we went to the SPCA to adopt 2 siblings, preferably sisters, we ended up walking out with 3 siblings, 2 of them boys.

Curie is at the top, the girl of the litter, below her is Sydney, with Beau lying down at the bottom. Beau is the big one (about 15 pounds), Sydney's about 9 pounds and Curie is around 7 - Sydney looks like the runt with his short legs & extra toes, but Curie has the tiny size.

Kittehs.jpg

I have never properly thanked the fly that Curie & Sydney were watching for allowing me to get this picture.

Omg, how cute are all of these below! Smiling ear to ear on what a great thread this is :D

This is my dog Max. He is part Lab and part Chow and he has a purple tongue. I tell people he drinks Cabernet in his water bowl .... This is in our backyard which is way out in the Oregon forest on a creek. Dog heaven....
