you might actually have to buy some more clothing soon. Seems you are burning through shirts pretty fast. Safety Third, sure, but you don't want to be out there naked in the winter time. Much as we would love to see that.

Thanks for the coffee MDF.
hahaha yeah. I use old shirts when welding, to keep from getting sun burned. This project is just big enough, that I'm welding at strange angles at times, so molten metal sometimes is dropping on me or my clothing, and if it stick it can start burning. Usually I feel it stick and just brush it off. Once in a while, it gets some flames going......haha. Keeps me sharp!

Good morn gang. I lose track on what day it is too gal. I woke up for many years, knowing what time, what day, what anything, but now I just go with the flow and loose track of mundane daily thoughts. Just saying. I know, I know, put it in the correct thread (gezz mods
, but I have watched many BMan vids to see what the camping is like. Does anyone use the conventional soft side pull campers for the Playa. cr****

Moin Moin!
ahh. finally got my coffee and sleep scheduled put back together. Just in time to begin nightly vigils waiting for a calf to be born and an incubator full of chickies and ducklings to hatch. The calf might be tricky; it's her first one. The eggs are freaking me out cause the weather outside is so cold keeping the temp warm enough without over heating them is tough.
annyhoo! have a nice weekend. GO 49ers!

I did use the search function and didn't find anything but I did try so off to the Bar eh. Yea I have a couple of options for camping but the obvious (cept maybe BMan) is my soft side camper. I like to come (over) prepared but I know how to rough it too. cr**** go Ninersknowmad wrote:Moin Moin!

A hearty cup of hot whatever floats your boat!
I love starting my weekend with a stimulating discussion of spelling and grammar. Please continue.
Maybe later we can compare the legal system of ancient Abyssinia with the life cycle of the pileated woodpecker.

Yes, the origin of the "of" error is well enough understood. It's just so sad that many people....

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
There are several old, but good threads on this as I recall canexplain. Try searching for popup camper, as that is what they seem to be referred to on eplaya (if that is indeed the same as what your softsided camper is)canexplain wrote:Does anyone use the conventional soft side pull campers for the Playa. cr****
I seem to remember mixed reviews, with some people very happy, while others had issues. The whole thing needs to be anchored, but from strong points. I think one concern was guying down the upper tent strucure without compromising its strucural integrity. It has been several years since I read those threads though, so I'm fuzzy on it. One of the best bits of advice around here is to imagine what would happen to your shelter and shade structure if you placed it on the back of a flatbed truck driving down the highway at 60mph. As you already know, there is real potential for very strong sustained winds out there.
Try googling: eplaya popup camper
Good luck, and enjoy the discoveries as your plan evolves!

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Searches on a multi-purpose term like that (to describe both a kind of vehicle and one who camps… at an event where everyone camps) aren't likely to yield very useful results, even if you did an advanced search of just the Preparation boards. You could also just page through the threads in Shelter and Camping. There are a number of discussions about the different ways people camp, you can be sure that in two decades just about any form of feasible mobile prefab has been done before.

Excellent! But you missed an opportunity: Some people also write "breathe". I suppose it is kind'a like the one time vice president (with the horse-faced wife) who spelled "potatoe".Ugly Dougly wrote:Don't hold you're breath.Elliot wrote: So... now I need to catch Dougly in an error?....
