The Bar, Volume #4
Re: The Bar, Volume #4
I've done electric welding in the rain, but it just kind'a tingled steadily, so I guess it wasn't major enough.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Well, the show was a smashing success!!! Audience over the 3 performances was a bit over 550 folks and they all had a great time. We had a post show cast party at a local bar on Saturday night to celebrate the show and its closing. Got home very late and was back at the theater at 8AM on Sunday to strike the sets and move them back to storage. Then to Berkeley to deliver some equipment to one of our good accounts and then home, folded laundry and collapsed in my chair to watch the game with my son. Doc, my son and I were in tears at the end. The mighty Niners had struck out! But it was a great game and only one or two mistakes made the difference. Wait till next year (Note two cliches in 1.5 sentences!)
Good to have my life back and now to focus on going home to the dust!!! Missed all of you these past few days. Can't wait to see the Hof stove, YG. Dang, can't wait to have some of the great stuff we'll cook on it!!!

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Just checking in gang. Saw The Banjo Man wandering helplessly down Bourbon Street (I hadn't read the post yet that he needed a ticket, not that I was about to give up my 50-yard line seat---that's the truth, the 50 cut me in half) but pretty much ignored him. Got my picture taken with Roger Craig at the VIP party on the Creole Queen. You know it's a good party when the vodka they serve at the open bar (meaning all you can drink and tipping/paying is not allowed) is Stoli's, the bourbon Maker's Mark, and the dark rum is Myers. Who needs beer? Well, when the power went out in the Super Dome it was rather errie, but the cash registers still worked. I talked on the phone with my friend Naked Paula and she had me hand the phone to a bartender, and he made me a drink. Not sure, but I think it was a Pimm's Cup. While I was drinking that I missed the 108 yard run back by Jacoby (good first name) Jones for a touchdown. But oh well. Fans were well behaved, if not very drunk, and I had, or should I say I'm having, a great time. Now it's off to K-Paul's (6:15 CST reservation if anyone wants to buy me a drink ahead of time) for dinner.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Dang, Doc, if you hadn't been talking to Naked Paula and involved with the bartender rather than paying attention to what was happening on the field, that darn Jacoby would never had made that 108 yard TD run back! Maybe it was Naked Paula who distracted the Niners allowing the run to take place at all!!! Sounds like you are really bored down there...NOT! I met Roger Craig a few years ago at the Stanford tennis tournament where Serena whipped Sharapova. Very nice guy indeed.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
I was behind the 49er bench. My seat (you can Google and it will show you the sight lines, not sure which thread, but you'll figure it out) was Section 640, Row 29, Seat 10. I was no more than 50 feet from the restroom (my seat was on the aisle) and bar. How convenient.illy dilly wrote:HAHAHA!
