Ok, fuck.
I'm pretty flexible.. i can work in most environments. Hell, i have. No problem.
But the fact that my desk is freaking dark because they messed up the light means that i am going home with my eyeballs wigging out and headaches. this is not something i need 5 days a week.
now word is that the original fixtures have been recalled and the new generation must be shipped from EUROPE, so it will be weeks of this.

F*cking agreed. My point was that even if they weren't gonna do the f*cking right thing, that you should take care of yourself. Of course they should pay, but if they don't the money for a lamp is cheaper than the wear and tear on you.Rian Jackson wrote:

Have you thought about bring in a big ass, flaming fucking torch for a light source. Tell them you have Seasonal Affective Disorder and that the torch was under doctor's orders to prevent massive mood swings and Carpal Eyeball Sydrome.

A bit of both actually.
The basement looks a bit sketchy as far as the attempts that have been made to prop up sagging parts of the house, as well as a couple cracked beams (including one right under the tub). The rear part of the house is all crooked, and was probably built on a dirt a hundred years ago or something. Next summer we'll tear the fucking thing down and build a beautiful eating area and bedroom with a lovely stone patio off the back.
The wife of the owner killed herself (car exhaust) in the shop that I want to use for my business. I think she'll be okay with what we do though, plus I'll be cleaning up her once-flourishing flowerbeds that have been neglected for four years. No horror movie scenarios, ideally.
