Post by Sandwichman » Wed Oct 13, 2004 12:21 pm

The Portland Decom is about upon us. 3 days of camping on the land. A lot of great energy and intention is going into this gathering of the minds. To find out more details including how to volunteer and get tickets go to the Portland Burning Man site at http://www.burningmanportland.com

So if you are going let me know I will be greeting for two shifts on Saturday and would love to meet some of you. I am also playing with my live project and djing.

Hola, I am Sandwichman's translator he is saying with great enthusiasm above that he will take 200 of those tickets. This is his sad attempt at drunken humor. Please forgive him.

Wow... my camp was right next to that tree in the background. Best fucking seats in the pasture.

course, it was also the best place to hear the goddam drunks in the goddam golf cart run up and down the hill until eight in teh fucking morning, too.

I had a great time, though. And Wovenone, sorry I missed you.

AAAAHHHH! Sam Tzu, I missed you! Did you happen to see a swashbuckling werewolf capering around on a very colourful stick horse? That was me!

We froze our hineys off out there but the foul weather didn't diminish our spirits a whit. The event was one for the record books, no lie. We even got hailed on at one point Saturday afternoon but the Man went up and burned, irregardless. Mike used parts of the Hellraiser II soundtrack for his Mt. St. Helens installation/performance.

Missed the main stage completely, but spent a lot of time in the ambient barn as I thought I would. Fine, fine, beautiful space. Terrific weekend. I too have been recompressed :)

i LOVED the drunk people riding around the hill on the golf cart - i spilled red wine all over my mini snuggle necklace - and pants. and the feeling of almost dying as we skidded into a half-circle stop right before suckling upon the luge was boss so there. :D
oh, and:
do you think this is funny? i think this is funny -
exerpt from email with mike:
-------------------
Jane-
Man, thought I'd washed my hands of you by squirming out of the
thrift store escapade on Sun but apparently not. Did you get some
less professional attire? Though the 'drunk lawyer spilling red vino
on pants' look was good for you, I did regret a bit not gallivanting
around town some on Sun...I hope things are going well for you, and
that your camera finally sobered up a bit.
-MRM

i found slacks i'll have you know. and a black "hat".

Rian, I didn't even know you were going!
It's alright, I'll be at Seacompression, possibly later as I may be working Saturday Market earlier that day. Depends on the financial sitch...t'would be nice to have a smattering of budget for the trip up there.

I saw lots of girls with long black hair and moon boots, none your height.

I think you were at the greeters area when she came looking for me. I am not to sure I was already a bit fuzzy headed by that point.

ah, well, SeaComp.

btw, i've heard that it would be really helpful if you guys who are going get your tix presale instead of at the door. plus they're cheaper. am i allowed to mention that shit or will someone jump on me?

Wait...purple stripe down your hair? Red cape? I did see you! :)
I was the werewolf that growled at you and then apologized later :)

i might be interested in going to the seacom, although i don't know anything about it.

The girl with the colored hair was Rian. The mystery was solved. I would love to see the pic sometime. And as for Seacom it is November 13th. It starts at 2p and goes until 4a. It starts in the street and later moves into a local club. If you are interested let me know. I will be driving up.
