Re: The Bar, Volume #4
so my former husband ..I am his #3 his #6 is with him now and he broke his Sacrum and Fibula
while skiing with the kids and didnt want them to get past him
whew that is the end of the trip for them all
hope my 4yr old grandchild isnt totally spooked.
CE, looks like you are an adrenaline music junkie too
BottleRock has "Black Keys" "Alabama Shakes" and many more but I thought it would be too pricey.
if you decide to come, hang out here at my place, and we can do this cheaper than any other ..volunteer and get a free pass
I put away my skiing when I felt fear rather than exhilaration.
some of my best ended then; I cried as I went down the mountain the last time..of course that is something you dont do unless you are a real pussy
.

Worked over my tent today and need to replace some tent posts. Felt so good to feel and smell the dust.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Yum yum yummers.
Has anyone thumped the ECM yet?
Larry goes on his last run to Vegas today, the company is disbanding the flatbed fleet. Not a money maker in this economy. But no fear, he goes to regional runs in a brand new out of the box Freightliner next week. I'm hoping for fewer broken bones, scrapes and unexplained bruises.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Morning AnitM. Does a boxed trailer need less load strapping etc? That would be the human abrasion factor?
Thanks for the reminder on the ECM. I'm thinking of putting a motion sensor on it, that will do an auto start as soon as somebody enters in the morning.
Made good headway on the garage. Didn't actually remove much stuff, but sorted a lot for a garage sale and purge is well underway. Unwrapping fragile items, ack! "more lembas bread."

Mmm, lembas....
Yes, the dry van or reefer vans need a load lock at best rather than throwing 50 lb. chains. Or climbing the loads to position the chains. Or ducking under steel beams weighing up to 60,000 pounds suspended above his head.

ah, breakfast and coffee.....thanks gang!
we're on the same page, Elorrum, I spent the day re-arranging, too. found things thought lost.....which means now having two or three of some tools.
Next time up, you'll have to go through and see if you want any of the extras? I'm happy to share. All sorts of hand and power tools.
Yay for Larry!! I'm told the new trucks pretty much drive themselves and sing to you while you keep 'em company. He deserves it.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Silly if you don't like the speed and bumps in downhill, take up x-country. I have done that for years sort of for the same reason. We have some "killer" slopes here. Pussy!!! Tnx grrrrr. I felt that way when I moved from the North Shore and realized the days of 20+ waves would probably never be for me again. Yea I love my tunes. I realize that is not what BMan is about, but that doesn't change that part of me concerning the fest. Tnx for the offer. I invite peeps like that all the time and haven't been burnt yet and made a lot of friends. I think I am going to pass on BRock because I am semi-full already of major fests. I would like to hit Europe, but I don't see that happening this year. .......aserendipity wrote:so my former husband ..I am his #3 his #6 is with him now and he broke his Sacrum and Fibula

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
one of my 15 minutes of fame was at the 92' dem convention in NYC....i was interviewed by ABC morning news standing next to her because they thought the juxtaposition of tall string bean and short doctor was funny...
the reporter showed us an algorithm and asked us what we thought it was.
i replied "number of times i inhaled..."
she replied "number of times i had Zex!" (she has an accent)
both answers were wrong, it was how the democrats decide the number of delegates from each state.
yes, i was once somebody, i'm not sure who, but it was somebody....
and unlike some members of this board, my exploits are quite real, documented, and actually occurred.....no names...i don't want to embarrass anyone

*wanders back in*...........busy morning.
sorry I missed GW *waves*
Hi AntiM
Hi Simon. Yeah, those fleeting minutes of fame. One of mine was participating in a Pagan ritual, at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, and in Kennewick WA, over the bones of "The Kennewick Man" not long after discovery. And then meeting with tribal Elders of the native tribes in the area.
Many jokes were made at my expense, and, it was the first time my family (very xtian at the time) actually believed what I had said, that I was Pagan, after seeing me on Headline News.......hahaaha . I got a stern talking to.

Morning all, I got interviewed and the DNC in 08 and I was going off cussing and saying fuck this and fuck that. The reporter then left and my friends said. "Before you walked up, she came up and asked if we could be interviewed. She said she was from the Catholic Register." Oh well, .......
