Welcome.

There has been a Byron Shire group in past years you might be able to locate. You will have a great experience and it is an opportunity to see more of the West, cities and the land on your walkabout.

Hey guys,
Making the trip over to the US from Australia for Burning Man for the first time this year! Going with a crew of 8 melbournites, half who have been before, half (including me) who are burner virgins!
There is no appropriate word in the English language to adequately describe how excited I am!
Looks like there's quite a large contingent of Aussies going this year, both newbies and those that have been before!

Re: Hay from Australia
In Australia do you store eggs in the fridge or the cupboard? When I lived in South Africa they stored the eggs, butter, mayonaisse inthe cupboard and it kind of freaked me out. Eggs already freak me out, but cupboard eggs...always expected to go to make an omelet and end up with a chicken omelet.
Bring Australian dollars so you can be all dramatic with people and be like "you know what? this experience has affected me so much I just don't care about money anymore" Then you can take out $100 bill and tear it in half. Before they realize that your money won't tear, they'll probably be in so much awe they'll just stand therer with an open mouth expression stuck on their face. It will be great.
You could always bring head cheese. That might elicit similar responses

My American friends LOVE tim tams - but unfortunatley I doubt they would last very long at the Playa. I have tried putting in esky but it means as soon as you open them you need to EAT THEM!Asquared wrote:teddy bears or tim tams! YUM!

Re: Hay from Australia
Hi I'm Daniel from Perth,
I'm planning on doing my first Burning Man this year by myself at this stage. Not many of my friends are into Burning Man, and the ones that are don't have the money or time to make it out there for this year. Given one of the events philosophies is about self-reliance, I'd thought I'd throw myself in the deep end and decide to do it all by myself and make friends along the way. I'm staying with my brother in Houston before flying to Reno. I'm hoping I can find some fellow strayans to go to Burning Man with. I'm more than willing to chip in for an RV or something like that. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.
