About those tix...
When are they supposed to start rolling in? I remember someone posted a picture of a bunch of eplaya threads of people selling their tix, when does this usually happen? May, June?

Got mine yesterday, and this year they are enclosing a big ol' dead snail in the envelope. NomNomNom.

my ticket came yesterday via carrier pigeon. I guess they want to save on postage this year.

When will the BORG gift me a ticket? I mean really, I thought they took care of their own.

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Historically, June sees a lot of tickets changing hands. This is also when physical tickets start shipping.
We will begin shipping tickets June 3rd 2013. You will receive a notification email around that time when your ticket order is on it’s way. Remember, the envelope requires a signature so if you haven’t received it shortly after receiving your shipping email, phone or stop by your local post office and give them your tracking number and see if they are holding it for signature.
For more info, go here. If you need a ticket, register for STEP:

As has been pointed out in numerous other threads, the person "selling" those tickets doesn't have to physically have them until the delivery date (which, in the case of the link you posted, is Friday, Aug 30th: 3 days before the event ENDS). It costs them nothing to post these offers, and it's a ton of profit if a sucker bites; you can imagine how low tickets will go for once the Gate opens, and these people aren't promising to deliver until well after that.

Hey, I've got some sea-front property in the Appalachian mountains for sale for cheap. Taking orders now, but you'll just have to wait until the sea levels rise before it finally becomes available.

Okay, that's funny.

But it wasn't personal. We always remove the links to ticket sites, and delete posts offering tickets at more than face value + fees.

Don't mess with Eric, Mulch. There's no telling what can happen!
By the way, does anyone know what kind of candy will be in with the tickets? I heard there is a world wide fireball shortage!

Though given the seemingly lower volume of ticket angst this year, maybe they should have done it in 2012.

Oh, I thought it was funny, but, like Savannah said, the link still has to come down (the "seat info" was "GA420", so the person was probably on it & giggling when posting it).. If one stays up, the next person will insist that theirs should stay up too.
The other info I put up gets posted every time someone links to a third-party site, as much for newbies as for the person I'm responding to.

Read the guide again anyway, you'll feel better for it. There will be a test!

Haha, sorry Simon and friends, I thought this was an information/resource sharing site, didn't realize I got my pussy in your circlejerk.
Looking at the 2012 forums, it seems like people can't wait to ditch their tix, what with rent and such. I'm signed up for STEP, but I signed up for the first sale and that didn't help me much, either.

Re: About those tix...
It's more our disappointment at your lack of effort to find readily available information and/or lack of reading comprehension. You know, self-reliance and all that.
In that same pattern: you should put some more effort into reading about the ticket situation around the same time of year as now so that you have a more reasonable comparison. If you think last year's forums mostly concerned people couldn't wait to ditch their tickets, you were probably reading the forum posts around the time the event started, which did not characterize the "ticket situation" for the majority of 2012.
