funny I was looking at your avatar with the eye patch thinking about stealth and a little kid playing peek a boo came to mind> when they cover their eyes they are invisible.

I've seen a lot of people getting on and off, but no one was posting.

I'm going to have to take off for awhile too.

// comes in and sees the bar is still empty //

It's slower than I've seen it , might as well clean up incase someone finds there way in later.

// starts making fresh coffee //

wonder what all the fur is laying around here is from, It looks like that big bunny nipples fur.

// chases the bits of fluff around with a broom.//

I see, Oh that's to bad, it sounded like it needed some work but would have worked well for you.

I know nothing I could say would really make you feel any better about it, but that has never stopped me from talking anyway.
when it comes down to it I'm an optimistic fatalist . The universe has no vested interest in making things not work out for you. Every thing wants to reach a point of equilibrium and moves in that direction. You have lost this house and that might prove to be a good thing, Not only might you be avoiding some problems with it you wouldn't be able to deal with at this time, but there may as well be some thing that will work out better for you waiting just around the corner.

THank you for the drink.

I don't know what to do now. It's so expensive to buy and lease places here. This place I could actually afford. It took me so long to find it. I just want to go away somehwere. I don't want to deal with this. : (((

DO your best to hold onto your down payment money, and take a little mental vacation from it. Stop looking. for a set period of time like a month or at least a couple of weeks.

(Sits at one end of the bar, waits a while, shrugs and reaches into his backpack and pulls out a Diet Mountain Dew and a bottle of Glacier vodka and a glass. Pours a double shot of vodka into the glass and fills with DMD, stirs, and then sits back to watch whatever is going on.)

That brandy didn't knock me out. I have a massive headache. Here I am, alone in the bar, alone on the eplaya. I had planned to be space girl a gogo at the intergalactic space party tonight. But I'm not. My eyes are too puffy. My horoscope says Geminis have a lot of chaos right now. Great. I'd better get another drink so at least I'm drunk for it.

Gosh, Sparkletarte ... I guess all I have to offer you is a hug and if you want, just hang with you. Don't need to say much ... but if it'll help, I'll stay sober and watch out for you while you get as ripped as you need to.

I hate it when I get excited about something and then the carpet gets ripped out from under me. Sigh. I was really, really excited about this. What is it telling me- don't get so excited in the future?

'nother drink please. I may be a rather depressing drunk. Don't mind my tears.

Okay, I guess I'll hit the sack. The lights in the bar are hurting my head, and the last thing I want to do is sit by myself in an unlit bar and get sloppy weepy drunk on brandy, and then be found sprawled on the floor covered with puke by the morning shift.

This is a gathering place,
Gathering places are about informal community building.
From the ridiculous to the profound, communication is what it's about.
Get to know people at least in some way, and let us know about you.

Are you a seasoned Burner or are you just trying to figure out if Burning Man is really for you?

tell us about it!
Burning Man is a lot of different things, to me It's the people that are important and the community we are creating. So come on get creative.
