Re: Playa Boots
Mods can let me know if this oversteps into commercialism, but anyone have any favorite inserts or orthotics for a set of boots? I love my Ariat Fatbabys, and they are super comfortable. No rubbing or hot spots and easy to get in and out of. But the support isn't great and by midnight or so last year, there was some serious pain.
Any suggestions?

Asking doesn't cross the line, no worries. Neither does answering a legit question.VultureChow wrote:Mods can let me know if this oversteps into commercialism, but anyone have any favorite inserts or orthotics for a set of boots? Personally I like the Dr Scholls gel inserts. Keep my feet cushioned, and if you get the "sport" or "work" versions they tend to have good support (I have bad arches, these help). Definitely try out all suggestions before going to the playa with them! You don't want your "lifesaver" or your feet to not work!

I use the Dr. S gel inserts too, though just the regular ones, not "sport" or "work". (My feet are flat, but my "arches" don't actually want any support).Eric wrote:Asking doesn't cross the line, no worries. Agreed, a trial run is excellent.

Re: Playa Boots
I've never used Dr Scholl's but have a pair of SuperFeet that I've owned for probably 8 years. And I've abused the ish berries out of them. They still work great. BUT, there's no "are you gellin" going on. Meaning, you're not going to put your feet in your shoes then feel like you're walking on a waterbed. You're going to feel secure in your shoe and, if you're flat footed like me, you'll feel more supported. Probably less likely to get lower back pain, etc.
Also, I wear size 12.5 and no one makes them, so I usually have to buy 13's, which are too big, so the inserts make my feet fit better.

(said that outloud really fast and didn't do too bad)
