Hello everyone -
I am a virgin burner from ye 'ol Commonwealth of Virginia (my journey from one side of the country to the other shall be a comedy of errors) who is very excited about finally making the trip to the playa this year.
I don't have any specific questions, as I am still compiling my bible of things to remember, things to forget, and things to wing at the last minute - but I just wanted to jump right in, get my tootsies wet, and say hi.
Can't wait for this momentous occasion!

Hiya, lapetitevirginie! I'm also from the great Commonwealth of VA and a virgin burner. Like you, I'm getting my lists together of need/wants/craziness. I'm finding that burning after flying from the East Coast brings it own set of organizational challenges.

Hello fellow Virginian!
The challenges of East Coast to BM are numerous! I'm seriously considering making it a cross country road trip. Just with the logistics of supplies and what not - but we shall see. Once I get my cost equations squared away I'll settle on driving or flying.
At least we can hold onto the fact that we have a kindred spirit out there, fighting the same good fight

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Re: Hello everyone -
Welcome! I often suggest that people flying in join a camp, especially one they meet through their regional. Many camps share infrastructure like shade, and possibly food and shower/grey water evaporation that are wasteful for a fly-in individual to buy then discard. Plus a camp is instant company to go out exploring with, and to tell your stories to!

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

I travel only 700 miles to BRC...I am always in awe of those traveling cross country or from the other side of the world.
