I knew it! You let the secret slip, and now it's too late to edit your post. That stove you've been building really is a rocket!ygmir wrote:...naptha, ATF, and lacqueur thinner...
Ah, yes, don't mind if I do have a sip of that cognac. I've been repairing the street today -- with hand tools. Young man's work.

YG, your latest tale was hilarious (as long as you were unhurt). You have a way with words! Glad to hear things are getting sorted out with the state. Sometimes can be very frustrating. I do it all the time. Elliot, leave the street repair gig to the younger set. Funny stuff, Elorrum.

Q: How to you hide a 100 dollar bill from a 25 year old man?

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
End of a long and windy day, hope everyone had a terrific Friday/end-of-week/whatever. I got tied up in a few different things, and didn't get to make the progress I had hoped with my 3D design project. I finished reworking and testing the window frames, and got them optimized pretty good (which speeds up loading times, and is less taxing for people who are using older/weaker computers). While working on that and other parts of the new building stuff, I got pulled into one of the Burn2 Burnal Equinox stuff. I was a bit confused, I guess they just do burnal equinox a couple weeks late. I tried asking, but nobody there actually knew anything about Burning Man or had ever been to the event. It felt a little weird, usually when I go to those things there's usually a few real burners hangin' around. I couldn't stay too long though, I'll have to come back later in the weekend to check out all the art installations.
The new loft continues to come along nicely. I'm thinking of designing and building a new workbench next week, something big enough to go whole hog on the sewing projects as well as handle all our other nonsense. Meanwhile, it's time for drinks and nonsense.

nothing like a new work bench, Trilo!! being multi purpose, don't forget a fold out bench, maybe some carabiners, wrist, and ankle straps.trilobyte wrote:End of a long and windy day, hope everyone had a terrific Friday/end-of-week/whatever. Hi Marty!! haha yeah it had to be comical to see. and while balancing coughing and trying to clamp my eyes shut, the I answered the phone which was in my pocket........I feel ready for the circus.
Elliot: dang.......well, that's only part of the "secret formula"........so it's safe.

Light dusting of snow here. We do a spring equinox/burnal Eq here in Ogden. Reserve the entire Fort Beunaventure park for camping, live bands for two nights, $20. Cold this year, and Larry didn't get home until late last night, so we won't be camping, but we will catch some tunes and join in the potluck this evening.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Enjoy the evening, Anti M.. Spring is really here. Sunny clear and warm weather in the high 60' to low 70's. Swatting the yellow balls this morning and then inventory of tarps and test run set up of my tent in the afternoon and possibly some pottery as well, with ditto for the morrow. Gotta get over to see what you do, Trilo. Sounds intriguing.

Hi Marty!! wow, yer on a roll......kick starting the ECM.....swatting yellow balls. you are "The Dominator"!!!!
Big day, supposed to get my truck back, and, a special piece of equipment, that I'm storing for friends, is supposed to arrive.
I won't spoil the surprise, but if/when it shows, I'll post a pic.
Also hoping to start the sawmill engine today, it soaked in "secret sauce" overnight, to clean and unstick, hopefully, anything that might be a problem.

Calm down...
The music at the Ogden festival was outstanding, the cold was not. We're below average and I could only take it for a few hours. Maybe next year I'll have Larry take the time off so we can camp properly, or at least bring our fire ring.

Hi AntiM! cool shirts!! I have one of the communicators, from the second generation set. I think it pins on the shirt? if so, and if I can find it, I'll bring it to ya this year. it'd go good maybe? funny, it's wood.
Well Simon, I'd think about it, but, it's not mine, and, the brakes are marginal, and it's about 10' wide with the warp drives on. Hiahahaaa, I can see me going through Safeway parking lot, snagging old people on the warp pods.....it'd look like Slim Pickens (dr. Strangelove, IIRC)

...and Good Morning Bar!
glad you got some music in you, AnitM, that's always a good thing.
I got my giggle on yesterday re-visiting an old friend, a 4 pound yorkshire terrier who missed me. She'd messed with a skunk the day before, and well, still a bit fragrant.
Today, a good friend visiting from Shasta, and I'm headed up that way as soon as I can for a longer visit.
Spring, and well, I feel better with the sunshine on me, so I need to go out and get it.
