Hey Monkey01; welcome to ePlaya.
You need to know that The Burning Man Art Festival is ass deep in DJs, many of them so obnoxious that we immediately grab a pitchfork at the mention of yet another.
Also, last year it was not possible to swing a dead DJ without hitting at least one tourist-with-a-camera-in-front-of-his-face, so we are kind'a fed up with that intrusion also.
Now please re-evaluate what you might be able to actually contribute to Burning Man.
Good on ya for the animal work. My brother does similar work with wolves and bears.

Re: Monkey Sharing smiles
Thanks Brother for the advice...im sure the city is packed with Dj's... i certainly aint bringing that to the party...its just my proffession the past 27 years..i started way back when we only had vinyl..haha.. I am still discovering my niche for the playa... i will bring my pitchfork... i like poking obnoxious Dj's !!!.. ps my photography is usually in the jungles looking for primates...no camera on the playa either. Got any advice to assist in a healthy contribution?? Its not like i can just pack up my van and trailer this time... excess bagage might complain. Kind regards

You might not figure out your niche until you get there, and that's okay. Folks are just a really burnt out on DJs and photographers hoping to be revered as Gods.
You can also volunteer, if you're looking for a little structure. Don't overcommit your first year.

There are also opportunities that don't involve pre-registration (Lamplighters in Center Camp, Post Office, et al).
Don't leave your camera home unless you really want to . . . just ask before you take photos of people, and so on.

Re: Monkey Sharing smiles
Thanks Savannah... Great advice.. I kinda forgot how swamped the city would be with Dj's and photographers...ive been 27 years at my trade. Im gonna bring a cheap point and klik, easier to use and care for. I will certaily look at the links you have shared... Coming from so far away it isnt as easy as packing the car with all my festival gear.. A friend who has been 3 years now from France said.."first time..take your clothes and just get there, everything will work out" ps thanks again for the great links... so much researching to do...soooo much fun !!!!!
Kind regards Monkey aka David
