Getting excited, but wondering, is it best to try and hook up with a camp or just show up with my camper? How do you go about getting that first day's business done if you aren't with a camp? Just pick a spot with no signs of life and set up? How do you know how much space you can use? I have outside tents and expect to bring an outdoor shower and evaporation pond, but don't want to offend the neighbors. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the feedback and looking forward to see new and interesting faces.

Hey Lolly!
Camping "alone" is totally fine--you will have neighbors. Some good advice here:

Hi and welcome aboard. Savannah's already given you some great info. When you find a suitable spot, hop on out and say hello to the neighbors. That gives them a chance to tell you about that friend they might be holding space for, or confirm that things are all clear and figure out whatever space the both of you want or need. There aren't any firm rules on how much space you're allowed, just use what you need for your stuff and you should be fine.

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Welcome to eplaya Lolly! Theme camps are a personal choice! I MAY have my own, but not sure if I want to be part of it. KEEP IT SIMPLE, stay comfortable and don't expect anything! except mud or dust.

Cookies (as in the sharing of) is a great way to introduce yourself to neighbors.
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
