Hey there, Trips. Time stamps are imperfect. They're focused on because they pass the time . . . not quite linearly.
Here's an example from last year.

Its possible, that unjon was the next person in line looking for a single ticket, and only a single ticket was available.

So frustrating. Seems like nothing is happening on the ticket market. :/
Let us speak until we shout...
Re: I'm in S T E P
It's early yet. 5 months from now everyone that wants a ticket will have one. Plan accordingly. Full steam ahead.

Re: I'm in S T E P
Don't sweat it Ryan, the timestamps mean nothing. If you got a confirm e-mail then you're in STEP.
The timestamp they're talking about only applies to the first few minutes when STEP opened several weeks ago. In reality, they're looking at a mail server timestamp on the confirm e-mail which doesn't mean anything in regard to your place in line in STEP.

Re: I'm in S T E P
Big life changes have had the unexpected side effect of probably clearing my late August schedule. This caused me to reflect more deeply on my continued ambivalence toward my first year BM experiences.
Then I realized, f*ck it, I really want to do lamplighting again. Guess I'm a sucker for "ceremony" focusing on drawn-out physical punishment while wearing a kickass robe.
So I just signed up for a ticket in STEP.

Big life changes and unexpected side effects sound a little daunting, but hooray for joining the queue, BSG! Glad to hear you're planning a return, good luck and a speedy queue to all who wait.
Re: I'm in S T E P
Awesome, BoyScoutGirl. I hope the ensuing months become more serene.

Re: I'm in S T E P
How's everyone going with STEP in regards to getting tickets?! I'm assuming they will continue be distributed right up until just before the event? First time Aussie so just getting my head around it all
Re: I'm in S T E P
It's too early to expect abunch of tickets flowing through the step. When people realize they won't be needing theirs, then they'll turn them back in electronically. Once they get the hard copy they can't turn it into step. Don't worry. There are plenty of tickets. I don't have one and I'm not concerned. They will come.

Read the info on the tickets page, details and dates can be found there. I expect that STEP would be slow-moving at first (as it was last year), as a lot of the fence-sitters haven't yet figured out whether they'll be going or not.

Re: I'm in S T E P
June is the classic drop-out month for people who back out of the Burn. New jobs or responsibilities, unforeseen events, a clearer idea of how much the trip costs, plain old nervousness, etc.
I know that's a while to wait. It's a good reason to tell everyone you know you're looking, because they may know someone who is backing out and needs to sell. It's always more comfortable to buy/sell with someone you know at least a little.

Hey monkey,
I'm heading over from Melbourne and am in STEP as well as couldn't get a ticket first time.
I've optimistically gone ahead and booked my flights - everyone I've spoken to seems confident tickets will come up, although may be getting close to the event.
