Yeah, the Stones are taking a page out of U2's playbook (though to U2's credit, they never charged $600+ for tickets). U2 started doing that a little over 20 years ago with their ZooTV tour, they had a limited number of 'Inside Broadcast' dates that were easy sellouts in venues much smaller than they'd sold out on previous tours. The buzz was huge, and it was the hottest ticket of the year. A few weeks after the tour wrapped up, they started announcing the 'Outside Broadcast' dates. Both were great shows (they had a much bigger and more elaborate production on the 2nd leg), but I don't think they'd have sold out every night on the stadium tour if they hadn't generated all that buzz beforehand.

That's awesome news about AB374. Sounds like it still has a little ways to go, but progress is progress!

In other news, drinks all round! I've finally gotten everything to come together on the ziggurat structure. After the pre-requisite drunken stupor, I'll get to work on building a physical model and a test-piece.

funny, how working my ass off for a few days, almost "invigorates" me, I'm up early and energetic!! Guess I need to work harder, more often? Hell, I could barely move last night.

Yeah Marty, give me a couple of days to make sure the date is good, but as far as I can tell, it'd be a good weekend.
I'll hope for feedback from all the folks here (all are invited) as to who can make it, so at least we can make it work for as many as possible.
And, MDF, you know all you'd have to do is get here, we can pick ya up and take ya back and feed and massage and drink and cavort and, and and...........

it's nice to be there in June, usually nights are crisp (good for fireside fun) but not freezing cold, lake is full and still good fishing. It usually "turns over" mid June. A little snow, up high to be found.
