That is really a good question. Seeing as a yawn is a sign of a lack of oxygen to the brain I could really see this happening. I am sure every creature at some point has a lack of oxygen to the brain. To allow more water bearing oxygen to the brain they would have to make a yawning like gesture. Or you could really say they are perpetually yawning.

Well fuck it is quiet in here. I am off to bed. See you all tomorrow at some point. I think I am practicing tomorrow so I will only be able to check in every once and a while. Be safe and drink to make me proud.

Sorry, I got distracted...

Yes, I most certainly will be at the decomp; glad to hear your coming and I hope all our Ora-gone (Washinton pronunciation) burners will make it up here.

Getting back to this fish yawning business: I think you're on to something. I can use this information...

Hey, where'd you go?

S C E N E T W O

Capulet’s Orchard.

Enter Romeo

ROMEO:
He jests at scars, that never felt a wound.

Juliet appears above at a window

But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun!
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,
That thou her maid art far more fair than she:
Be not her maid, since she is envious:
Her vestal livery is but sick and green,
And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.
It is my lady; O! It is my love:
O! that she knew she were.
She speaks, yet she says nothing: what of that?
Her eye discourses; I will answer it.
I am too bold, ‘tis not to me she speaks:
Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven,
Having some business, do entreat her eyes
To twinkle in their spheres till they return.
What if here eyes were there, they in her head?
The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars
As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven
Would through the airy region stream so bright
That birds would sing and think it were not night.
See! How she leans her cheek upon her hand:
O! that I were a glove upon that hand,
That I might touch that cheek.

JULIET:
Ay me!

ROMEO:
She speaks:
O! speak again, bright angel; for thou art
As glorious to this night, being o’er my head,
As is a winged messenger of heaven
Unto the white-upturned wondering eyes
Of mortals, that fall back to gaze on him
When he bestrides the lazy-pacing clouds,
And sails upon the bosom of the air.

JULIET:
O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father, and refuse thy name:
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.

Uh... none for me, thanks.... I'll just have my mineral water and a twist. Hey, Zullie... love your new weight loss program! Looks like the fat has just melted away... along with a lot of the connective tissue... and some bone, too. What is it called? The "Super Oxydation Diet"?

You could be right... but what year (s) were you there?

Indeed, I spent 4 years in the middle of that cornfield...

...and, if you don't mind my asking you a billion and a half questions: where are you from, originally?

from, and currently living in, Seattle. (what neighborhood are you in, anyway? i'm looking at Elliot Bay at the moment....) but the family is midwestern. i'm the only one in my immediate family that was born outside of MN/IA.

i was only there in the fall of '99 through January of '01. Technically abroad with LC that spring, and 'technically' a lapsed student still...

lived in Brandt and then the towers....

did you guys call the Hoh Chi Minh trail the 'Hoh Chi Minh Trail' when you were there? which was, BTW, when?

Oh, yeah. I'm sure we ran into each other. I was there from 98-2001...

I lived in olsen my first year, larsen the next two years, and the offcampus my last year.

I, too, am still "technically" a student... goddam french class...

I worked all four years in Marty's, so if you were there at all, I'm sure you saw me...

where did you go when you were 'abroad'?

oh. my. god. you're a marty's chick?

remember the obnoxious marty's mafia - major overlap with our gay mafia - and with the dancers - that prompted the sign to be put up that said 'vertical love only'? that was us. i tried to be the kingpin, but i don't really think it worked. we were ALWAYS crashed on the couches.

every day, we 'tried' to study there, but it never really happened between the drama and the love of slacking?

most of us were tight with the WIMIs, too. in fact, i seem to recall becoming a 'WIMIN' since all my friend either were WIMIs or became WIMIs.

also, that one dude - was it Mike? who worked in Marty's.... went to college with my brother in law up in the twin cities.

went on the Malta and the Med course - with all people from your class, actually - and Cliff English and Ishmail Said.

what department were you? did you get sucked into the Luther music machine? did you , like many of us, believe that Weston Noble was going senile?

I'm sure we crashed on those fucking couches right next to each other... I was a dancer, and, when I wasn't working, I was "studying" at the marty's lounge... we collectively called ourselves the marty's whores...

as far as the wimis... I was actually inducted AS a WIMI (not a WIMIN)... I dated Eric Strelow before my first year, and Skinny Ben and a bunch of the older wimis were instructed to look after me. If I remember right, most of the wimin didn't like me, because I was 'one of the guys', and didn't ever have to pay dues or anything. honorary wimi, was my title.

and I TOTALLY MISS my little luther fags... they were so endearing.

Did you see Little Shop of Horrors? I was in that.

wow, this is too weird....
