Hi there!
I'm building an interactive sculpture for BRC this year. About 1.5X2.45X1.2 metes.
Do I need permit to get it into the U.S?
Are there any materials being used for art that are not allowed to get into the U.S?
Thanks!

Do they look ANYTHING like these?:

If so, I'd say look no further. You're likely good to go.

Hi Rolerak, Welcome to ePlaya!!
I did a quick google search on your question and found the following links: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/360/~/importing-personal-and-commercial-original-works-of-art,-paintings,-drawings, and https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/list/kw/importing%20fine%20art
It is hard to say if this applies to you or not... Since almost anything can be used to make are.
You best bet is to ask, send them any info that you believe relevant and see what they say. it is better to ask & know what you are going to have to deal with than to make some assumptions and find out you cannot bring it it. Or worse, by trying to bring it in you inadvertently prevent yourself from being able to enter the USA.
Hope this helps you in your quest.

They are shyly asking if they have a peek at your tits, in which case I mean your art.

The best place to start looking - customs. See the link in Rice's post above.
