LA Rideshare - Car needed, trailer contributed!

Howdy!

I'm Taylor. I recently moved to Los Angeles and know no Burners in the area; I also don't own a car (cyclist 4 lyfe). These two facts combined are severely jackin' my style insofar as making it to the playa this year... which is no bueno.

Here's what's up: I don't have a car, but I'd like to rent a 4'x8' U-Haul trailer and share it with whoever shuttles my butt to Nevada. The cost for the trailer would be my own, and I'd of course split gas. If you have a capable vehicle and need extra hauling space, maybe we can help each other out?

-22 (23 in June)
-In downtown LA specifically
-Student/Bartender
-Third Burn
-Bringing:
-Food/water for one
-3'x2'x3' tupperware container
-3'x2'x3' cooler
-Collapsed one-person yurt
-Bicycle
-Various odds 'n' ends that shouldn't take up more than a few cubic feet
-Ideal Schedule:
-Leaving LA Sunday, August 25th
-Back in LA by Monday, September 2nd

Definitely hit up the regionals page on the main site and sign up for the LA regional group email list. Then head on over to FB and look up their FB group. It's an active region with lots of awesome things going on, lots of great opportunities to meet new friends and help get the transportation sorted out. Good luck!

There's a couple of cool campouts coming up. That would be a great place to meet people. The LA community can be hard to navigate, because people are scattered all over the place.

Hey Taylor - I live in Riverside (about 1 hour east of LA). I'm 35 year old guy married with 2 kids. I like your plan and think we should talk more about it.
