I'm neither superstitious nor do I believe in ghosts. (I think sleep disturbances--& other things--account for a lot of visions). But I'm open to changing my mind, if any ghosts wanna come see me.

The person below me needs an old-fashioned tea time, with a pot of tea, little sandwiches, and cake.

That sounds like it would hit the spot right about now but sometimes pretend is just as good if not better. One of my fondest memory of 2011 was finding Charles Gadeken, his young daughter and her friend under Aurora the Willow having a pretend tea party. Blanket laid out, tea set, the whole shebang.... awesome. I love finding unexpected things in unexpected places.

No. I tend to separate things brutally. Running over them a few times does force them into pieces.
TPBM thinks the 2nd vowel in "separate" should be an e.

i had to google that. here's what i found...

"The salt raises the osmotic pressure of the brine above the zone where bacteria responsible for rotting (decomposition of proteins) can thrive and prevents decomposition of fish proteins into oligopeptides and amino acids. Instead the osmotic conditions enable the Haloanaerobium bacteria to prosper and decompose the fish glycogen into organic acids, making it sour (acidic). Fermented fish is an old staple in European cuisines; for example the ancient Greeks and Romans made a famous sauce from fermented fish called garum."

while i enjoy a good pickled herring as much as the next guy, this doesn't sound like my cup of tea
