thanks gang........yeah one of those guys, who'd give a dope fiend chance after chance, to work and get good pay (he'd always pay too much), even feed and give them places to stay, had converted his barn into a "bunk house", to help homeless folks, put in a garden for them to tend (if they chose) to help with food, and paid them, to do stuff, so they'd feel good about themselves. Took in stray animals.......very spiritual man, we had many long, discussions. very well read.

At 4:58 a.m. this morning, Lombard’s Acting Village President Bill Ware declared the Village of Lombard in a state of emergency due to flooding and high water.

The Village of Lombard has received approximately five inches of rain during the last 24 hours, which has led to flooded roads, ponds overtopping their banks and hazardous conditions. The weather forecast anticipates rain throughout the morning, which will lead to additional high water and flood conditions.


had to move all my shit upstairs.. the floor drains were pour up water in the basement.. sort of contained in the laundry room with tons of towels and blankets.

fuckin fuck. and still 12 hours until the rain system clears out.......... thankfully, only TWO inches expected.

if everything stays how it is.. without the situation changing.. its not so bad, just really annoying.

if it gets worse.. thatll suck but my stuff is OK.. and i am ok.

flood warning ends in 6 hours.
rain will clear out in 12..

worst case scenerio i stay in a hotel tonight.

best: the situation stays as it is.

rain has been calmed down for about 45 minutes.. which is awesome.

only about 2-3 inches in the basement... nothing important ruined, so far all safe... the rain kinda moved out...for now


already got my hotel room reserved.. gonna head up there in a few hours

the sewer down the block was gushing like crazy maybe 6 inches high tons of water.... everyones pumps running constantly filling the gutters with water even tho the rain subsided for now

downtown of my village is impassable

thankfully the hotel has no flood issues.. and im pretty sure i can get there

We stood there in the rain and watched, as it pushed the car out of sight down the tracks.
She was in shock, I think, still wanting to save the car.
I had one fuck of a time getting her to leave the car.

Standing by that car, in front of the locomotive, about the height of the wheels of the train, I had to look up to even see the cab.

So what have we learned, boys and girls?
Don't cut your wrists, it fucking hurts, even with a scalpel.
Don't fuck with trains.
And whatever I've been doing, don't fucking do that next weekend.
